Introducing Barefoot Dreams 616SCD.
The 1st floor is not internally connected yet is its own retreat boasting a living room featuring a sofa sleeper, TV, mini fridge and microwave. There is a full bathroom with walk-in shower which is shared by 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a Queen bed. Bedroom 2 is a pull down murphy bed with poolside access sliding door. The main entrance to the home is the 2nd floor great room, where living/dining/kitchen seamlessly unfold as your ultimate beach house. Off this space is a hallway featuring access to 2 bedrooms (Queen bed in each), washer/dryer, and guest restroom. The 3rd floor is accessed through the interior stairs and opens up to 2 suites both with low-step entry showers. The 1st is a king-size bed and the 2nd features a Queen size bed and sleeper sofa. This beach house is complete with its own backyard oasis - a fenced in yard, private pool, cabana and a patio area with a propane grill. Plenty of spacious parking in the driveway (4 – 6 spaces depending on size of vehicle). Pool can be heated for an additional $100 + tax per night, for the duration of your stay. Please request when making reservations. Takes at least 24 hours to heat the pool. STR#297060

- A 2-3 night minimum stay is required.
- Contracting guests must be at least 25 years old, have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID, and be present throughout the entire stay
- This is a PET-FRIENDLY RENTAL. Pet fees are an additional $20.00+tax, per pet, per night. A maximum of 3 pets are allowed. Additionally, a pet-cleaning fee is also charged, which is $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days, and $100 for stays of 30 or more days.

Annual Family Trip - Barefoot Dreams
Property did not appear to have been inspected prior as the outside was a bit of a mess. Propane Grill not provided even though it was an amenity listed in the description. Good house/not maintained well
This house overall was perfect for our family of 14 and the location was good. The pool was nice and bigger than we thought. The cleanliness and maintenance of this home was poor in my opinion . The pool was dirty when we arrived. Several pillow cases looked as if they had not been changed. There were ants all around the pool area and trash that looked like it had been there a while. There were some loose boards on the deck and the downstairs bedroom smelled like mildew so much we had to buy air fresheners to try to hide the smell. When we arrived the trash had not been picked up yet and the kitchen was lacking some items . We did not receive enough towels for 14. I called about all of our issues and they did bring more towels and pillow cases right away, but they were not helpful about the dirtiness of the pool/bugs and trash all over until I had my husband call and then it was taken care of right away.Anonymous from buda - Posted: 7/19/2024

Great place for larger group
Very spacious and great location, would definitely stay again. Pictures accurately reflect the space. Only minor complaint is that we were planning on grilling a few nights and unfortunately the grill it states to be on property is in terrible condition and we weren’t able to use. This place has it all!!
We came to celebrate our daughter’s high school graduation, with family. We had 11 people and it accommodated everyone nicely. The home layout is prefect for fun and visiting with everyone. Family mini vacay...
We had plenty of room for our family. The private pool was great. This was our first time with vacation rental. Location close to the beach was a plus. Family Vacation
Great place we have stayed here the past 3 years and it looks like it was just getting better. We have this place booked again for Labor Day weekend. It’s close to the beach, great room for parking and nice pool. It was even better when it included the Go Cart but I heard they did away with that ��. That WAS the cherry on top. Especially using the Island Outfitters shout to them and their service with the carts. Please bring it back!!! Overall it’s a great house for large families. Family vacation
We rented barefoot dreams for our family. 8 adults and 6 children under 7. The home was clean and we loved the open floor plan. Everyone had a place to sleep and we loved the pool. Loved it
House was huge, very clean and in a great location. Only issues were the light in the pool and canopy didn’t work. I didn’t have access to the upper balcony as is was locked from the outside. And the outdoor shower to rinse sand wasn’t working. Maintenance did show up Saturday morning but couldn’t fix it. A little bummed I didn’t get the whole package. Would I stay here again? Heck yeah! I understand that with a rental it may not be perfect. So out of 5 stars I would say 4.5. I’m confident these issues will be addressed. Great Beachhouse!!!
We loved returning to Barefoot Dreams on Sandcastle Dr. Our first time post-Harvey and post -Covid, the only thing we missed we’re the o po angry items that are usually there. BUT we had use of a golf cart! Not a bad trade off. So bring your own sugar, spices, oil, and shampoo, and be ready to have a great time at the beach and pool. Plenty of room inside and out. LBD
We’ve stayed here 3 years in a row and it has only gotten better with the addition of a beach cart that get delivered and picked up at the property. The location is great right by the beach the house was clean. Our only complaint was that we were bitten by ants in whatever room we stayed at. They were coming out of the wall sockets and climbing up your charging cable. But overall it was great even though it rained all weekend we still made the best of it and had a blast. Vacation Getaway

Best trip ever

Great house close to the beach
This home was beautiful and very spacious. I especially liked the location as it was just down the street from one of the beach access. Having a private pool was a definite plus. The house was clean and the AC worked well which was nice after a hot day in the sun. There isn’t anything negative I could say about this rental and will definitely stay again. Love this house!

Never Disappoints

Great house!
This house has so many great features. I didn’t give it 5 stars because the beds are hard - really hard. Also, this house is between an overgrown empty lot and what looks like an abandoned house. Absolutely Perfect!
"Barefoot Dreams" was an absolutely perfect vacation rental for my family. The bottom level "apartment" is only accessible from an outside door, and it contains a bedroom and bathroom with a pull-out sofa bed. There is no kitchenette, but there is a small refrigerator provided. The second level contains two bedrooms (queens in each), a bathroom, a very well-equipped kitchen and a living area with a big screen tv. Super comfy! Upstairs is the master bedroom with a second bedroom (queen bed + a sleeper sofa.) Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The pool area is AMAZING! It is closed in, so pets or children cannot escape! The beach is within easy walking distance (possibly three blocks away), but lugging beach gear might be tiresome. (We rented a beach buggy.) Again- the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, coffee pot, corkscrews (important), a can opener... etc. TAKE YOUR OWN WASHING MACHINE DETERGENT because you will be asked to throw towels in before you leave, and my husband had to run to the store because no pods or detergent was provided. For the most part, we really enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had was that the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Of the 8 people who slept in 5 different beds, we all agreed on that. Barefoot Dreams is everything and more that you would want in a vacation rental. It has everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. You definitely get that beach feel with all the island themed decor. The furnishings aren’t just beautiful but comfortable too. Comfortable beds, heated pool and a short walk to the beach. The perfect location and accommodations.

This is the 4th year we have rented this house, and it never disappoints. Not only is it a great house and pool, it has all the pots, pans, etc. you need. Everything worked as it should. I cant recommend this house enough. It had plenty of room for our 8 guests. Everyone had their privacy. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The heated pool was such a nice addition that we used constantly! And the house is a very short walk to the beach and close to everything in town. COVID-19 Didn’t Stop Our Family Fun
Checking in on Saturday we walked to the beach to check it out! We discovered the walk wasn’t bad at all. The house having a pool and the outside area was a dream. The grand boys loved the outside and the adults loved the large living area inside. Our only complaint was the two bedrooms on the main floor have no tv hookups for cable or satellite. We brought a tv for the boys and couldn’t hook it up. We love this place and Port A Escapes so much we put a one night down payment for next year! Wonderful Home and Vacation!
Barefoot Dreams was the perfect home for our recent vacation to Port A. There were 9 adults and 3 young children and the home accommodated us all comfortably. The home is in the perfect location, just a short and easy 5-10 minute walk to the beach. The pool was AMAZING after a long day at the beach. It is mostly shaded after about 3pm which was great for all of us who were burned after day 1! The kitchen was very well stocked (except for silverware--might want to bring some plastic cutlery). The rooms were perfect, except for the beds...they were VERY hard :( This didn't bother the young folks, but for us older ones it was a bit uncomfortable. We had some issues with the bottom floor room not cooling well, but after putting in a maintenance request, they came and fixed it ASAP. Wonderful stay
We arrived Friday evening and they had our key ready in a super easy lock box. We arrived inside and it was amazing, like our own little beach house. Everyone had their own rooms and we were able to all gather in the living room and sit at the huge kitchen table for dinners. The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the bungalow. Beautiful 3 story beach house
Our family of 14 came to Port A for 4 days. Each of the 4 couples had a beautifully decorated bedroom and a bathroom plus a bedroom for the kids. The pictures dont do it justice. It has a wonderful beachy feeling. It is a block or 2 from the beach and we took our rented golf cart to the beach, pier and ship channel everyday. Even better than the house was the pool and back yard. It was a perfect size. The deepest part was 4 1/2 feet. Two of the little ones learned to swim in it! Family vacay 2018
We stayed here Aug2-5 and it was very clean and spacious. The decor was super cute and fit the beach theme. I never made it to the top floor but the family upstairs said the rooms were huge! I did get to see the main floor rooms and they were very spacious. I stayed downstairs and will admit the only thing that bothered me was the strong mildew smell in the bottom rooms. It really messed with my allergies so if you have allergies maybe stay upstairs just got plug ins and it helped while we were there as far as the smell. Fantastic Family Vacation 2018
The complete rental process was so easy. Picking the house, payment, easy to contact office, being kept up to date on events and amenities in the area, checkout and follow up. The house we rented was the perfect size for our group. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything that we needed to cook. The gas grill poolside was fantastic for everyone to swim and visit and cook at the same time. Tons of seating for everyone. Rooms were not only very clean and pretty but they were generous in size. The outside water system was a plus for washing off all the sand on our beach toys as well as people! We had a great stay and will definitely be recommending this home to others. WOW! Best Beachhouse for Us!!!
We recently spent 4 nights at Barefoot Dreams, and our experience was superb! Port A Escapes is a great management company so we weren't surprised by the customer service we received there. Everyone was professional, friendly, and helpful as always.
This spacious beachhouse was just what we needed for our ever-growing family. We have visited Port A every summer for almost 20 years and have stayed in rentals with more than a little wear and tear. But this home is in excellent condition from top to bottom.
A lot of thought and care has gone into preparing Barefoot Dreams for guests. We enjoyed the multiple outdoor sitting areas. The FULLY stocked kitchen made cooking and serving a crowd a virtual breeze. A huge plus was that we all basically had our own bathroom (it wasn't necessary to share one with 6 or 7 people). But I think everyone's very favorite part was the pool area. We all gravitated to the cool water and shaded palapa where there were plenty of comfortable chairs.

Top notch Stay
This vacation rental had it all, plenty of kitchenware and utensils, so leave your kitchen at home! Love the layout, the pool, the closeness to the beach, the c looseness to town, and the amount of parking spaces. Unit was well maintained, pool guy came a few times after the storm to make sure it was ready for us, had problems with the grill and maintenance came really quick. 5 BR's, great for a big family. Excellent Home!
This house was just perfect for our family Easter weekend! It accommodated the young and old. We had age range 6-75 yrs old. Plenty of beds and bathroom space for everyone. Very spacious and clean. February 2017 Stay
We rented Barefoot Dreams for month of February 2017. The location was fantastic about a block walk to the beach. The house was as shown, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The new pool area outside was a wonderful oasis! Just beautiful. Pool was to cold to use but we were outside daily enjoying the sun in a very pleasing environment. We had plans to go and see so many things but with the weather being so great all month it was hard to want to go anywhere. Our days consisted of spending time at pool, beach and back to pool area. The screened in porch is a great feature also and we had several dinners out there. The only thing that could make it nicer is if there was a light and ceiling fan on porch. You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in this property and Port A is great to work with. If there is a problem they are there in no time to address any issues. The experience started with an awesome mobile app that provided confidence and detailed information on our forthcoming visit/rental. Great 4 days in Port Aransas
I loved the house. The beach house was everything we had hoped it would be. It was just like the pictures on the virtual tour. Everything was in great condition. The air-conditioning, tv, washer/dryer all worked well.
We did not have internet at first, but after we called them, they had someone over to get it fixed in an hour. The house was close to the beach. It had a very big backyard for our dogs. The grass was green. We enjoyed the front deck very much with the chairs, table, and turtle bench, and also the back small deck. Getting to sit out on the decks with the beauty of the sunrise and sunset along with the palm trees and sea breeze was great.
The private room downstairs was great for our youngest daughter and husband. The bar with stools came in handy down below the steps. We cleaned and cooked shrimp down there. The lighting was great. We appreciated the lights in the backyard and back steps. We cooked hamburgers on the grill in the backyard. It was a beautiful house. We loved all the furnishings and decorations.
