Great location next to pool and boardwalk to beach. Clean inside, the kitchen was well provided for. We definitely used the washer/dryer and appreciated the ability to have our dogs there. Unfortunately the grassy areas are all covered in sand burrs. We had to carry the dogs over the grass. The driveway is a little tight for two cars, but the excess parking is close. We had a battery that needed a jump the last day and the property manager came out with cables! Great service.

Most of the stay was Great! Positive notes: clean, great access to the beach, dog friendly, check-in process was easy, extra parking lot. Negative notes: clothes dryer and TV did not work.
Regarding other comments: “sticky burrs in carpet” I did not notice any burrs inside the house unless we brought them in. For dogs- the grass by the condo and the parking lot has burrs. Instead walk your dog by the entry gate north east side (near the green condo with the boat) and they won’t get burrs.

Our house was clean, beds were comfortable and kitchen had plenty of pots and pans to accommodate whatever we wanted to cook. The deck overlooked the pool and the walk to the beach was super short! My only complaint is that I wish they would have offered a small container of coffee grounds. We didn't go grocery shopping before we came so I had to function without coffee the first morning.

We had a lovely stay with our dog at this property. The view from the top deck is stellar and we enjoyed walking to the beach. The home was clean and comfortable. One of the upstairs bedrooms doesn't have a working AC vent. As a future improvement it would be nice if the boardwalk to the beach could accommodation golf carts but overall I would recommended this rental.

The location was perfect! Such an easy walk to the beach and the beach itself was not crowded and felt almost like a private best-kept secret. We were pleased to see the couch had been updated to a more modern/comfy sectional and the house was clean. We loved that each room had it's own bathroom. The only critique is that the sheets were pretty stiff and the king bed frame sticks out making it painful to bump into.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay during our spring break trip to Port Aransas. The rental was clean, cozy and located just steps from the boardwalk to the beach. The deck overlooks the pool area so it is easy to keep an eye on little ones and communicate with family members. We appreciated that maintenance was on the grounds every morning keeping things neat and tidy. Even though it was spring break, the beach adjacent to the complex was not crowded and it was easy to find a place to set up. Highly recommended and we would not hesitate staying here again!

Loved the location. Best yet, and this was our 3rd trip to Mustang Island. Do your research in advance on where to dine out on the island. This house was very lovely and decorated nicely. Both patio doors were in sad shape and cockle-burrs were stuck in the carpet. Ouch!! Carpeting needs replacing. Owners might want to update pots and pans. I’d stay here again. Had a nice stay.

We had a wonderful time on the beach. The board walk is only 50 steps from the back staircase. The house was fine. The furniture could use an update but the location and views are excellent. I appreciated they allowed pets. That was perfect for us this trip.

My family enjoyed a week in Beach Beauty and loved every minute. The home was clean, filled with extra touches and accommodations, making it an excellent match for my family. The house is spacious with plenty of room for privacy if traveling with multiple families, or one large family like my own. We were right beside a nice pool and a short walk to the beach. The views from both balconies are lovely. Our “neighbors” were all so friendly, making the overall environment pleasant and happy. I would love to bring my family to this lovely home and happy environment again and again!

This Beauty was a short walk over the "boardwalk" to beach....(2 min.) and had pool right beside it....We could see the waves rolling in to the beach. The only problem I had was that I didn't rent it for 2 more least. I hope it is available next year when I decide to go to Port Aransas!!! Management was perrrrfect!

The house we stayed at was in a fabulous location. We had an ocean view from both decks, as well as from the sliding glass doors in the master bedroom. The floor plan was great! Ample room throughout the entire house. Every bathroom was spacious and clean. They had clearly been updated. The kitchen was large and updated. However, the pots and pans needed replacing as they were all
rusted, worn or chipped.
The bedrooms were a good size, especially the master bedroom and the first floor bedroom with bunk beds.
The only suggestion would be for the owner to either replace or clean the upstairs bedroom carpets which were stained. The secondary bedroom carpet smelled of pet urine.
All in all, we would definitely stay there again.

We came with 2 families with 4 A 4 K and we had a great time. The house was a perfect location for us. Steps down to the fenced pool area and a short 2minute walk to be on the beach! It was a 5-10min drive into town but that was fine with us. We hope to come back and didn’t want to leave!

Overall we had a great stay. House was very clean and apparently recently remodeled. The upstairs rooms were warm during the day. The A/C needs to be checked. Downstairs was OK and cool during the day.
The house is close to the beach with a boardwalk and also had a pool. This was a plus!

This was a beautiful house on what I would say a perfect spot between ocean views, the pool, and overflow parking.
The drive is very steep and only one of our vehicles fit without parking in the grass or blocking the street. The overflow parking was visible from the house which was comforting. The view out the back porches is a lovely one of the ocean. The main floor porch is very spacious with plenty of seating. The boardwalk was straight off the back porch with the paved entrance one house over. The pool was right next to the house.
Spacious kitchen with plenty of counter space. We did find the kitchen utensils lacking as there was no baking sheets for the oven, and couple other things we ended up buying for our week long stay.
The main floor bedroom and bathroom have plenty of room for luggage and personal items.
The upstairs while spacious, did get hot at night.
There was access to one garage area which was great to store beach chairs and tents after rinsing.
Overall this house was the best beach house we've rented. Short walk over the boardwalk to the beach, a few steps from the pool, and a beautiful view from every inch of the porch.

This house was in the best location ever! Steps from the pool and 100 steps to gulf front and center. We never had to bring a cooler to the beach, we were close enough to walk back and refill our drinks or have meals. The house was VERY clean. Updated bathrooms and kitchen. The outlets provided at each bed in the bunk beds were a huge HIT with our kids. I will be back and want this house specifically. Three different beach views from the decks. Can't beat it!

Nice condo. Very convenient to beach! Nicely furnished with good sized kitchen. Air Conditioning was hard to regulate since one unit cools all floors of building. Love having a deck for each story. Can't explain how much we liked being so close to the beach; boardwalk was convenient to get to and was a short walk to beach. Light bulbs were not working in garage & main deck which was frustrating when packing up to leave (garage).

This is the second time we've used Port A Escapes and I am very pleased with their customer service. The rental was in a great location (aside from being a bit of drive into town) and had a nice view of the ocean. Overall it was clean with the exception of the comforter in the master bedroom which looked like it had bloodstains on it. The lower level had a strong chemical smell but aside from the laundry there's no need to be down there. I had a horrible allergy attack-not sure if it was the condo or something in Port A. Felt like it was a good value for what we paid.

We've been staying on Mustang Island for over a decade now and this was definitely one of our best visits. It was a lot more private and personal than our previous condos- great for a family or couples retreat. We were just a few short steps away from the water! The landscaping was beautiful- just watch out for snakes, like the signs say!

Kitchen has all the amenities- blender, waffle iron, etc. The freezer may need cleaning as it smells like fish (made our ice smell, too).... The only other negative thing is the loud neighbors who didn't respect pool curfew, but overall good vibes at The Lost Colony with friendly people and dogs. The reason we will come back- fantastic covered porch with a view of the ocean, boardwalk, pool and palms.

This was a "perfect" location for a family weekend. The condo was a perfect setting for beach fun. The desks overlooked the pool and the beach was visible, too. Great time....we definitely will return in the future.

Excellent location, we enjoy the stay at LC9 great location. We arrived one hour prior to check in and the keys were not available, we did not received the keys to the house until 4pm the management did not seem interested in making the keys available prior to 4PM. After a 10 hour drive its poor service to not make any effort to accommodate the guest.

Over all, positive experience and good trip. Place isn't maintained in the best way though. Loose fixtures, a super dangerous dishwasher that actually falls forward when you pull our both racks, and isn't attached- things like that. Can't beat the location however.

Major issue was grass burrs in the carpet. 5 year old stpped on one and had to be removed with much pain and bandaged. Burrs were in all carpet areas. That was a major issue. Had to wear shoes over carpet areas the entire trip. Roaches in kitchen. They ran out of cabinets and was very disgusting. Went to store and bought roach spray and sprayed almost the entire unit. Later found a number of dead roaches on stairwells and in kitchen area. Unit needs exterminating. Location is great. Would rent again there if assured these problems were corrected.

Perfect spot if you have young children, just a couple steps down from deck and their is pool . You can watch your kids right from deck . The best part of it all is the beach is also sooo close you could reach out and touch it. So you get a beach view and pool view, how perfect. The facility it self could a little tlc, refresher. The kitchen was beautifully updated, but at the end of the day who cares we came to enjoy the beach. Well worth the stay the only problem we had was having to leave. I would recommend the states to anyone absolutely love it!

Liked almost everything about this place but we felt the owners really skimped on some basic cheap necessities: coffee filters, salt & P, tissues? Really?? We paid more at this place than a luxury place in CO & felt like the least the owners could do was to provide some essentials.

This was the best vacation my family and I ever had! The people at Port Aransas Escapes were a pleasure to work with. The location of the condo was perfect!!! We couldn't believe it was so close to the beach. We have two small children, 2 and 4, so this was very convenient. We practically had the beach to ourselves. The accommodations were perfect! I wasn't aware that the property was in a "gated" community and was pleased that there was the added security and safety which I did not know about initially. The condo was exceptionally immaculate. It was well furnished with the items we needed, including towels, dinnerware, glasses, cups, utensils, bowls, pans, etc. The kitchen appliances were all fully functional. There was even a washer and dryer which came in handy. I've already suggested this condo and Port Aransas Escapes to several of my friends.

First time to visit Port A. We had a great time; stayed only 3 nights; wish we were there longer. The house is old but the kitchen/baths were remodeled. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. It was wonderful sitting on the back deck of this house in the evenings, shady and breezy.

This house is in a perfect location, steps from the beach, overlooking the pool. We loved sitting out on the shaded patio and relaxing while overlooking the beach. Inside, the property could use some updating, although the living room furniture is new
and the bathrooms are spotless. The carpet, I would say, is the item they should replace first! The kitchen could use updating, as could all the furniture but the carpet is very unappealing. Since we were so close to the beach and had two dogs with us, it
was PERFECT. This house is on three levels, so lots of stair climbing! A/C worked great!

I wa slaking for something with a view and even though it was the only unit available and it still had a great view. I hope in the future to get even closer to the beach at this same complex. It was a little pricey considering the age and condition of the unit it needs updating badly carpet, furniture and kitchen. The beds were comfortable the sheets and towels clean and the porch view spectacular. Even the each condition was good for a Texas beach! Please please consider a late (like 6 PM) checkout if no guest expected the next day! Who does that hurt and added value! We would have even cleaned the place for that.

The location of this unit is ideal - right on the beach with spectacular views, but removed from the crowds of Port A. The property was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

The kitchen is huge but definitely is way past due to be upgraded. It needs a complete remodel from top to bottom, as well as new pots and pans and new small appliances (toaster is a dog!!!). Same thing with the carpeting. It is old and stained and needs to be replaced. By comparison, the last two vacation homes that we rented were completely remodeled, yet charged about the same amount for rent that this place does for the location, number of bedrooms, amenities, etc.

Be aware if you rent this place that there are absolutely no condiments (not even salt and pepper)furnished. We have rented numerous vacation homes over the years, and this is the first time that we did not find any of even the most basic condiments provided.

We were not able to check in at 4:00 pm as we were told we would be able to. The property manager told us the unit wasn't finished being cleaned. The frustrating part was that she wouldn't even give us an estimate of how long it would take to finish cleaning it. We didn't know if it would take 15 minutes or 4 hours! We could have spent the hour+ that we waited to find out it was finally ready doing a lot of other things rather than sitting around the rental office.

The owner of Beach Beauty limits occupancy of this 3BR unit to six people, which we think is a great thing, especially during spring break week when we were there. It is too bad that other owners at Lost Colony do not have similar restrictions. For the first two nights that we were there, there were no less than a total of 25-30 people staying in two of the other units (either 1 and 2, or 2 and 3). There were kids everywhere. The pool was filthy when we checked in and there was, among other things, pool furniture laying in the bottom of the pool. Needless to s

We rent vacation homes in Port Aransas every Christmas. This one was by far our favorite. It had everything we needed and was only a few steps away from the beach. Our dogs even felt right at home. We could not have asked for a better location, price or stay.
