4th of July Channelview
Great rental to have for a family of 8;the fireworks display was perfect from the balcony. My family loved fishing off the pier and my mom loved watching the ships go in and out of the channel.

Great location! Beautiful condo.
So, first the great things about this condo. It was clean, secure, well furnished, the pool was beautiful and the location amazing. I would come back in a heart beat, except...the penthouse has not one, not two, but 12
air handlers lined up outside its walls on both sides of the buildings. There is never any relief from the drone of the a/c units because it is every unit from floors one and two up there. So, if stuff like that doesn't bother you, you will have a great time, but for someone like me it was a nightmare and exhausting to listen to. It is obviously not the management companies problem, but the HOA should not have been allowed to do that to those poor owners on the top floors. I have seen air handlers on platforms below condos and that is what they should do so the third floor has some relief from the noise.
Like I said, it really is a beautiful property, really well maintained and worth the price, but for the sound.

Amazing in Every Way!
My family and I had such a ball staying here for a quick weekend getaway. To be able to join together for meal or board game was a wonderful bonding experience for us all. The unit is beautifully appointed and offers amazing views of the channel. The kids had a blast watching ships and dolphins go by each day. We are all excited to return as soon as we can!

Great place to stay. This was our 12th year to stay here. Always a great time with the views and all the room. Never have an issue with anything at the condo. The chilled pool was a great improvement as it was nice to unwind after a day of fishing. The location works well for us.

Fantastic Penthouse Views and Fishing
Every year we come to Channelview for our annual family fishing trips and it never disappoints. Decided on the penthouse this year and it was more than we could have imagined. Great views all the way around, it was very spacious, it was very clean, and plenty of ammenties to make you feel like home.

Thoroughly enjoyed family time with four generations.
Accommodations worked well. Very spacious, enjoyed sunrises and sunsets all from same location. We lost our place on same street during Harvey. Look forward to staying again.

Thanks again to the Chaney family. We've loved both stays in their condo at Channelview. This is our second time renting the condo. We were here last June just before the pandemic closed the beach. It's such a lovely place, perfect for our families to come and enjoy the scenery, fish, relax and the granddaughter loved the swimming pool. Hope to make it three in a row, but looking for a pet friendly place in 2022. Port A Escapes did a great job replacing the run capacitor for the Living area A/C and the breaker for the kitchen. We were never left without - fast service. Great Staff :)

Wonderful Stay
We loved our stay in the penthouse, the views were gorgeous! Condo was clean and great for our family. Was pretty well stocked but I would advise to bring some extra supplies, we usually do anyway such as an extra roll of paper towels, trash bags, foil, etc. with a large group we go through things fast. My only comment is the pool guy was cleaning the pool about 10am and said it would be 2-3 hours until it was swimmable bc of the chemicals...the sign says the pool opened at 9 or 10 and he did not post a special sign to notify guests of this delay. Other than that everyone was very friendly and helpful and we would stay here again!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Channelview 305 Penthouse!
This rental was by far the best experience we have had while on vacation at Port A! The Channelview property was superbly maintained and looked awesome! The penthouse 305 was immaculate, had everything and more than what we needed for a family of 4, and just made our trip all the more special. The wrap around deck was the main focus of our stay and you couldn't ask for better views of the ships coming into the channel. The private pier was a highlight for my husband, even though we didn't catch anything, the girls and I enjoyed looking off the cleanest pier I had ever seen and the playing in the awesome new pool! The WIFI was excellent and satisfied my 10 and 9 year old girls with Netflix and their tablets in the evenings. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated. Wish the master had a King bed, but bed was comfortable. LOVED the showers! 2 showerheads in the master was heaven! Appliances all appeared to be new and were awesome. 2 icemakers in the fridge, we never ran out of ice. BBQ grill was a little dated, burners did not want to stay on and no brush to clean grill but we improvised and it worked out fine. Had a lovely fish dinner from my husbands boat trip with Deep Sea Headquarters. Girls and I spent a day at the beach collecting seashells and playing in the waves. Would like to see a better mop and broom for guests, but what was there worked. The gate code changes on Tuesdays so make sure to get the new code before leaving the property. We called and the property management were super friendly and got us the new code right away! We would definitely recommend Channelview 305 and Port A Escapes for future trips!

Great Place to Stay
6 family members from all over TX met for a "catch up" stay at Channelview 305. It was a perfect location and lovely on all accounts. Very large, right on the channel. We could sit on the deck and watch the large ships in the channel. Could even Google them and get information on each one! 305 was clean, beautifully decorated. Fishing pier was great, especially at night. We will definitely stay there again!!

Family vacation
It's a beautiful home eveything was awesome only thing bad was our ice box was not working had to buy ice to keep our meat from going bad and our grankkids were a little disappointed that the pool was closed on sunday

Channelview is the only place to stay in Port A.
We have stayed at Channelview many times prior to this visit, but this was our first in the penthouse. Absolutely fabulous. There is still much work needed to be completed on other units and the marina, but noise was not too big of a factor. The new pier and pool were great. The Chaney's did a marvelous job with their unit and so glad they list for rental. You will see us again :)

Port A Family Vacation
Overall it was a great stay. We have been staying at Channelview for over 10 years. We love the new pool. Our room needs a little updating at least some touch up on the paint. We also recommend putting a tv above the fireplace. When the kids werent in the swimming pool they were playing games and that left the adults without a tv. The biggest disappoint was the elevator it broke down 2 times during our visit. My father was stuck downstairs till 10 pm one day and on the last day he went down to get a cart to pack and never made it back up. He had to shower and wash up downstairs. Very disappointed for him this is his one getaway for the year and it was frustrating not being able to have him back up with the family. We pay a good amount for this room and we would like it to be accessible.

Vacation with the family
We loved staying in 305. Have stayed at Channelview several times in the past but never the Penthouse. I loved it and loved watching the ships and boats come and go.

Pt Aransas Penthouse
The master shower door was off the track. One of the toilets was broken. These both got fixed on the second day. The ice-maker in the refrigerator was broken and needed a new part which did not arrive prior to our departure. We have stayed in this unit on multiple times over the last 10-15 years. It is beautiful and we look forward to our stay this Thanksgiving. Tom

The house and everything was very nice. Only thing is that you could not turn the ac down past 70 degrees and it got a little warm.

Awesome Christmas getaway with a fantastic view of the Channel, only wish the elevator had been working and the deck had been resurfaced for safety.

Port A in October
We had six adults and two children staying in this unit. The place was huge, very nicely appointed. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of cookware, plates, etc. The 4th bedroom was very small, but was perfect for two small children. The half bath attached to the 4th bedroom shared a pocket door with the full bath which worked ok since only the kids used that bathroom. This unit has a gulf view and a partial channel view. The deck was great for watching the ships coming into the ship channel.

Spring Getaway
Have stayed here several times in the past, so we knew what to expect, and we were not disappointed. Great place! Port A Escapes stayed in touch and took good care of us

Our stay in Port A
Have stayed in this unit either 4 or 5 years in a row for annual fishing trip with a few of our customers. Always a good experience and impressive accommodations. It would be nice however to have a key drop box on location.

Poor customer service!
I loved the property we rented at Chanelview no complaints. My complaints are the attitude with the office staff and being charged a $25 key charge after renting a $1,700.00 property.. It cost $2.00 to have a key made. I own several business's and if I ran mine this way I wouldn't have them!

Channelview 305 worth every penny
Channelview 305 exceeded all expectations. Views from both deck were excellent. We are already planning our return trip. Staff at port a escapes were very nice and couteous. Manager at channelview offered his assistance even though he was not involved in that property, which i thought was nice of him.

Channelview 305
Have rented this unit for a stay each year for 3 years now. It was a great experience each time, or would not keep coming back. Great location w/ great view, very clean and accommodating. The only thing I would suggest is having a drop box on location for key return upon departure. Maybe box secured to front door of the unit.
