we enjoyed our stay . Condo was nice. maybe a bit hard for older people as the thermostac is upstairs . sofa and love seat have seen better days and was not comfortable. toaster has one side with broken wires so could only toast on one side . Location was wonderful close to the beach .

It was ok. The house had ants and we had to have someone come spray. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. The pool is small and not clean. It was filled with sand.

Condo was clean upon arrival seemed small but was very spacious. Dryer didn’t work very well and some minor cosmetic items such as upstairs door was hard to open and outlet plugs were broken. But other than that we enjoyed our stay and will be coming back in the future.

The little things mean a lot when you are relying on your furnished condo to have the main necessities. Issues that impacted our stay: no can opener, coffee pot didn’t work, light bulbs were out in the kitchen, bed comforter had paint stains on it and you could tell that they just painted, because the outlets were also missing the plates to cover outlets. The biggest inconvenience was the metal dining room chairs. The metal chairs should have had cushions to go on the seats, it appears that the dirty ones in the outside back patio were the ones, but they were dirty and old, that we didn’t use them. This was so uncomfortable when we ate.
Otherwise, the beds were comfortable, the space is spacious and the condo itself was clean. I did complain about that issues and the bulbs were replaced and a different comforter provided. Metal chairs still had no cushion. We used our ice chests for chairs.

We had a pleasant stay. The place was bigger than what the pictures showed. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. I would definitely recoomend this house for families with small children, a girls weekend trip or a guys fishing trip. Also, the Wi-Fi did not work which made some teens upset, us parents not. The dining chairs were a little uncomfortable, if it had some cushions they probably would have felt better. It may not be a problem for those with lighter tushes...we did encounter a problem at the pool, the pool closes at 10 and there were some people being very loud at 1AM. We called the number we were instructed to call but it was the maintenance number and they said they couldnt help us with that.

Super place! Great location.
The house was clean and very well kept.
Really enjoyed the second floor sitting area...great place to get away from the kids down stairs and relax.
One minor point. There were some ants around. Not a big issue...a little spraying would take care of it.

We really liked the condo and it had plenty on room for all of us. We had a problem with the smoke detectors going off but they finally remedied it on our third night. We had some ants and no broom to sweep up the crumbs. Overall the condo was in good condition and we all enjoyed our stay. Property management was very helpful every time I called.

We had 5 adults and 5 small children staying in this unit for vacation. We had a great time going to the beach which was 1 block away. The unit was clean and had very comfortable beds.The kitchen was small with great appliances but had no room for groceries to be stored.I used some TV trays to store some of our items. Some in our group were awakened by people in the pool next to the unit at 1:00am. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Easy to rent; courteous, helpful staff; clean facility;condo well equipped with all amenities; only problem was lack of parking in front of condo and the BBQ grill had a hole in the bottom that leaked hot cinders onto the wood deck. A bigger better pit would be a great addition. Having outside faucets to wash off sand was fantastic. We will be back!

Overall vacation was a sucess with a few hiccups. Emailed Port A Escapes and was told there is no problem checking in early since we arrived early went to check in and was told the houses was not ready yet and to come back before 4pm. Went back at 4 checked in went to the house and the house keeping was still cleaning was told that it won't be ready until closer to about 5 and too come back. We ended up staying there unloading our cars and left. After a few hours at the beach we came back to the house and found 2 roaches downstairs in the back bed room. We had a few kids with us and they wanted to swim in the pool it was very dirty and very yellow/green. The dryer did not heat up to dry our clothes. All the beds were comfortable except the pull put upstairs and other than the minor issues great house for the price definitely would recommend and stay here again. Easy access to the beach and corner store, loved the outside shower to wash the sand off before going inside. Parking was great and the kids loved the bunk beds.

The mirowave had food in it when we arrived. We had to clean out the BBQ pit before we could use it. The bottom of the oven had grease all in it. Did not look like rugs had been vacumed.

We had three families stay here and we all loved how beautiful the condo was. Great back porch area and a big BBQ pit!! Kids loved how close it was to the beach and how we were right next door to the pool....we definitely will tell our friends to rent through here and we will come back next year!! VERY COOZY!!!

The 4 bedroom 3 bath worked well for all. Clean, kitchen had supplies. No extra sheets or blankets tho. The mattress on bunk bed and pull out sofa need to be replaced desperately. The cable went out for 2 days durings spurs playoff, swimming pool was very green. Pretty sure it was more than 2 blocks to the beach. Overall we had a GREAT time.

As my sister is having some financial troubles that didnt allow her family to take a vacation these last few years, I offered to pay for them and I to stay for a long weekend in Port Aransas which is one of her favorite places to vacation. She chose this town home community because it was within walking distance to the beach, a local gas/convenience store and souvenir shop. So once we got there we only used the car to go to a movie one night. The location was perfect and the home had plenty of room to sleep all of us in separate rooms. The kitchen was small but we used the dining table to prepare our meals and then we bought a small BBQ to cook out on the patio as the resident one had a little mouse family in it and I hated to disturb them. I live in California now so we are more into all animal rights versus my Texan kin would have been happy to smoke the mice family out. Anyway, it was a great vacation. My suggestions is to bring your own towels and bedding as the ones provided were skimpy. And looked very old and stained. The walls could use a paint refresh, and maybe steam clean the furniture but hey, we knew were at the beach and it was much better than a hotel or motel. It was also great having 3 bathrooms and two TV areas so the kids could go upstairs and and play their video games (we brought our game player and Wii). The pool was not clean but another family did not seem to mind.

We go to Port A every year on an annual trip in August, we have stayed at these condos the past few years. it's so close to everything, the beach is half a block away, stores are nearby, has a pool...the only problem is parking, you are only allowed 2 vehicles per unit, and when you have 4 couples, not everyone rides together....overall it's a great place to stay....

Our party is a group of 10 adult friends. This is the third year in a row we have stayed at this exact location. We love that there are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. We rented this condo for a quick weekend get together with extended family. The 4 bedrooms plus a pull out sofa were more than accommodating. We quite enjoyed the layout and furnishings. The stay was great, and a block from the beach. We rented a golf cart from a local place and kept our cars cleaner too.

I called the office about items that were broken, i.e. bench, grill, dryer and the lack of adequate lighting due to burned out bulbs. They did come and replace bulbs and took the bench, but did not replace the bench with anything. Even folding chairs would have been helpful for dining. Other than those few issues, our rental and stay were great.

We absolutely loved our stay! We were 12 adults and 2 infants and it slept all of us well. We were very impressed with how CLEAN it was! It was so close to the beach and so close to the beachmart store and gas station. This came in handy for all those last minute needs.

Great Open Layout! Many private bedrooms. Lovely 1st floor and 2nd floor decks overlooking a pond. Only problem was there really isn't enough parking. Overall, excellent condo close to the beach!

There was construction going on across the parking lot and the construction workers made it difficult for the us to park out cars becuase thier cars and equipment were in the lot. They also had a hose connected to what should be a rinse area for guests so we could not rinse off after we came back from our beach visits. Gate around pool was broken on one side (an entire section missing) so kids could easily walk right into the swimming pool. Other than that the unit was awesome, management great, well equipt unit, and will return next year.

This is our 4th trip to Port A and our first time at this property and with this management company. This was by far the best. There were 10 adults and we had plenty of room. We loved being next to the pool and had a great time with many other guests we met. We will definately try to stay at this same location next year.

The location was fantastic, literally a 5 minute stroll down to the beach. And, it was great having the pool right next to our condo. Although we didn't do much cooking, it was nice to have the option with a full kitchen. And, three bathrooms was wonderful, no waiting in line, great with 7 adults in the house.
Several of the dining room chairs were broken, but there was plenty of seating in the living room for everyone to spread out.
I'd stay here again, for sure!!!

Everything was beautiful!!! From the TVs, Beds, Furniture, Kitchen, and all the utensils and Bar B Q Pit to the upstairs and downstairs living areas and even the upstairs and downstairs back porches overseeing a pond with ducks and turtles. This is modern coast trip traveling for our group and I would recommend this to anyone.

I booked this condo for a family vacation for my husband and myself and our two children as well as my parents and my husband's parents. We had a wonderful time and the four bedrooms gave us all our own space. Being right next to the pool was a big plus. Beach access was very easy and we could walk or drive. Rental agency was very helpful.

Overall, we very much enjoyed our long weekend at this property (four adults and five children.) The place seemed almost brand new, was completely clean, and was very attractive. It has a great location as well. Our only concern was that the overall price paid for the stay seemed to be a tad high when compared to what we usually pay (a $50 damage fee as well as a $93 cleaning fee seemed excessive to us.) Otherwise, it was a great stay in a very nice place.

We stayed at the Gulfside Oasis 6GSC and the Sunshine Villa 5GSC in June '09 and really enjoyed the location and amenities that the condos offered and thought the price was very affordable. This review is specifically for 6GSC (Gulfside Oasis) but there are some comparisons to 5GSC that will hopefully be helpful. We had 5 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for everyone. The walk to the beach was nice and the option to drive and park on the beach was very convenient (when you had a bunch of stuff). (a parking permit is needed though) 6GSC is right next to the pool, with condo 5GSC on the other side of the that worked nicely for our two families. It would have been helpful to have more information about what exactly was provided in the condo; for instance, it is probably a good idea to bring more trash bags since only enough is given to get started. Laundry detergent was provided but in one of the condos it was empty, etc. So, it wouldn't hurt to bring some of those household items along just in case. Dish detergent and sponges were plentiful and each bathroom had a supply of shampoo/conditioner and bodywash (as in hotels...but it was not refilled so if you're staying longer you may need to plan for that). The kitchen in 6GSC was nicely stocked with plenty of silverware and many specialty utensils etc. (In comparison, there was not enough silverware in 5GSC to accommodate 10 people and there could have been more plates). 6GSC did not have internet access (5GSC did have high-speed). Overall, this was a really great, affordable vacation spot and I would definitely return (to either 5GSC or 6GSC)!!

My family & I stayed at Gulfside Oasis for Sandfest 2009. The location is perfect.. just at the end of the festival, but no car entry into it, so we had very little traffic. The property was beautiful & the management company was very helpful.. even helping me over the phone when I was lost.
I would definately recommend this property.
We had a terrific stay & are already trying to arrange our next visit during the summer.
