Pictures were nicer than the actual property. The kitchen was stocked very well. The rooms smelled like engine oil. The AC was not working so we stayed in an alternate room the first night. Wife did not like the two flights of stairs to climb, however the balcony had a beautiful view.

The condo was clean, however rooms had musty odors. The beds were comfortable and the Ikea kitchen oven was interesting. The balcony door did not lock but the third floor view was nice especially at night the lights by pool were nice and the heated water was perfect way to end a long day at Sandfest.

It was beautifully updated and clean. Everything worked as it should and we had a wonderful view from the balcony or the master bedroom of the ocean. The condo had pretty much anything you could possibly need. Almost too much, it was my only complaint that it was so well stocked there was little to no room for our storage of groceries if they weren’t refrigerated.
It was fine though we made it work and appreciate the attention to any and all needs being met so we didn’t have to run out for random cooking items as we grill out almost every night for dinner on our week stays. Overall very easy text only check-in and out process and felt very safe and private through the entire stay.

Clean, roomy, pleasant decor. Adequate supplies. Nice view. Close to the pool . We were not aware it was 2 flights up. Challenging for seniors. Beach is a hike and found out you have to purchase a permit to take your car on the beach. Grills available if you want to cook out. We used the one by the pool. Nice experience with our grandsons. Our rental was close to the playground. There were some rather noisy guests there till 11 pm.
We really enjoyed our stay and would go back!

I've stayed at the Beachhead since 1978, and it's truly amazing that is hasn't changed hardly at all and stayed so fantastic. The pool & clubhouse renovations are really great. We kind of bounce from unit to unit sometimes, but we like this unit a lot. Clean, and the updated kitchen is a plus. I'd say the only thing that needs some TLC is the master bed needs a new mattress.

We had an amazing stay. Easy check in and check out process, the condo itself is lovely and newly renovated. Awesome balcony with partial view of the ocean. The pool was a hit! Most times we had it for ourselves. Only downside was the oven didn’t work during our stay but we got to use the oven in the party area. Would definitely come back!!

I paid...picked up keys and then was free to relax and soak up some sun, surf and suds. Room was great coalition. Very clean along with all the linens and kitchenware. Love it. Will be back in September for sister’s bday.

Condo was clean. First thing I check are toilets and sheets. We had kitchen utensils for making pasta, pancakes, and basics for meals. Was glad to be provided paper towels and coffee filters and shampoo. Pool is well maintained. Game room looked clean and fun for older kids air hockey etc. Kids love the playground, which could use a few bolts tightened and a baby swing replaced. You can walk down to the beach with little kids and that is worth every penny. Not a crowded end of the beach even on spring break.

This location has a pretty solid view of the water with great beach access. Overall, the room was fairly clean, although there was a lot of sand that was quite literally swept under the rug. Everything else was as described online and we had a great time on the trip.

The stay was alright but the only thing that I was unprepared for was that it was top floor and I and my wife both have bad knees, so going up and down the stairs was a little taxing especially when you have to carry a lot of stuff up and down. Otherwise it was okay.

Perfectly located With a great view. Condo's newly remodeled look was modern and gave it a fresh clean feeling. Boardwalk was a great away to get around the grounds and pool was spacious. The only setback was parking was tight and muddy. This was great but my elderly mother had some difficultly getting up so many flight of stairs

We had a wonderful weekend. The condo was ideally located with a great walkway to the beach and exactly as depicted. Pool was really nice and we were totally comfortable. Beds were even good! Kitchen was completely equipped and it was easy to prepare meals. The only thing that would have been better was to have more trash bags. We had a fantastic time and hope to go back soon.

we Loved Port Aransas! Condo was nice, clean, plenty of room for 6, perfect location for beach access. Even with 4 kids in tow, this was one of the most relaxing laid back vacations I’ve ever been on.
Make sure to stop at Mac Daddy’s for dinner and the Islander for souvenirs.
I gave property management 4 out of 5 stars because our T.V didn’t work, I called the property manager and they said it would be fixed, but no one showed �� not a big deal because we spent so much of our time at the beach, but it would have been nice for the evening wind down to bedtime.

Great place close to the beach and to town. We rented a golf cart and parked the car for 3 days. We had a blast driving the beach and through town.
The condo was very comfortable for the five of us. The kitchen was well equipped.
I would definitely stay again!

We visit Port A every summer and the Beachhead is our choice of lodging. This is our second stay in this unit, which is nicely decorated and very comfortable. (We like the wood flooring rather than the typical tile or carpet; it is easier to keep clean!) The kitchen and bathrooms are updated and nicely decorated. This unit is very close to the pool, so it is great to be able to clean up from the beach and relax in the pool area before dinner or take a quick morning swim before the beach. Overall, we are very happy with this unit.

Found this place through a groupon but was a great rate for a simple beach getaway in October. 2 bedroom, remodeled well and just right to have a relaxing weekend at the beach. Location is convo entry located near the beach so you only need to take a short walk across the dunes on the boardwalk to get to the beach. Condo has a pool of you get tied of the beach and a small playground for the kiddos. Overall nothing fancy but if you want a quick easy inexpensive getaway this place hits the spot.

Our unit was well stocked with all we needed for our 5-day vacation to Port A. We appreciated the boardwalk to the beach. The pool was nice. The kitchen and both bathrooms looked like they had recently been remodeled, which was a plus! The only downside is that we did not count on having to wash our own towels, etc. because our understanding was that there was linen service on-site.

Beachhead condos are in a great location to the town and the beach. We took advantage of the nice pool, playground and grills.
Our specific condo looked great and was comfortable. Only issue is water pressure in kitchen is way to low.
Would definitely go back.

We truly enjoyed our condo. It was roomy, very clean and well equipped. The newly remodeled kitchen was nice to cook breakfast in each morning. The couches were not too comfortable to relax on in the late evening though and I would really have enjoyed a covered patio to sit outside each morning (sun was very bright so had to wear hat and shades) during our coffee time. Overall we really enjoyed this condo and would be glad to return. However, before booking I would make sure that the seaweed was not covering the beach. That was very disappointing so we drove to Corpus two days in a row to enjoy seaweed free beaches.

This was not the unit I rented; however, we made it work. This unit is very adequate for a family with children. There are several maintenance issues which should be addressed: the front door is difficult to lock - opens w/out any issue; secondly, the faucet at the kitchen sink runs at a trickle. Kitchen facilities are extremely nice & fully stocked.

My wife and two kids spent three days and two nights in this unit and had a great time. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and featured all the amenities of home. The location is great as it's a short walk down the boardwalk to the beach, the wonderful pool is right down the steps, and the playscape is right below the balcony making it easy to watch the kids. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice unit with an updated kitchen and wood flooring very comfortable. The unit needs a colander and potato peeling knife but other than that no complaints. Water pressure in kitchen is low but we knew that reading all the rest of the reviews. Great Unit all and all and oh the pool is awesome!

This was our first visit to Port A after moving to Texas last summer, and we had a lovely time. The condo is in terrific shape in a great location and was just perfect for our family of four. We'd heard that Port A could be noisy, and maybe that's true, but it sure wasn't for where we were, and we sure appreciated it.

Our only complaints, and they are minor to be sure: the internet was pretty darn pokey, and so was the water coming out of the kitchen faucet. (Oddly, the water pressure in the bathroom was fine.) But those are small complaints, and we were on vacation, so we shouldn't have been trying to work online much anyway!

Thanks for all of the work that clearly went into the home. We loved it and will be back.

Booked a last minute weekend stay here at this condo, and it was smooth sailing. The property management company made it painless to reserve, and because we were running late, they even put a lock box on the door, so that we didn't have to stop by the office to check-in.

The property is located in an older condominium complex, but the owners have nicely renovated the place with Ikea furniture -- only negative is the shower is a little dated, but adequate -- the rest of the bathroom is also nicely renovated. It is as close to the beach as most places are here (boardwalk pathway to the beach). Didn't really try any of the condo amenities, so I can't really tell you about those.

If you live in South TX, this was a lot more convenient that driving to South Padre. Will consider staying here again in the future. . .

This was my Christmas gift to my two daughters (from Houston)and two daughters-in-law (one from San Antonio and one from Lubbock). Unfortunately, the one from Lubbock is ill and could not make the trip. We had a wonderful time, reading, watching movies, sitting on the beach and just talking. We also went out for lunch and dinner and cooked breakfast at the condo. It was perfect for the four of us and we really enjoyed it and look forward to going back.

Can't tell you what a great time we had here from the moment we opened the door we were totally impressed. The condo was spacious and beautifully done. The kitchen looked brand new and completely modern. The bed rooms were great and having 2 bathrooms was fantastic. We had a view of the ocean from the windows and balcony. The boardwalk to the beach made things really easy as well. It was a great experience and we want to go back again soon! In fact it was really hard to leave.

We really enjoyed staying at the condo. Nice pool and play ground area. The condo had everything we needed. The only thing was I wish it showed which rooms were upstairs or down. My father had a hard time with all the stairs.

Lovely,pleasant and relaxing experience is how I'll describe our weekend at Peace of Paradise. Our condo was on 3rd level and there is no elevator, so request a lower level if you have climbing issues. Beach is fantastic.

I loved this unit and the property, the balcony faces the playground which is a plus, you can also see the pool from this unit. This unit was very modern and the decor was so nice. The kitchen is newly remodeled (Ikea)...there was 6 of us and we had plenty of room. Will definitely choose this unit again!

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway for my friends. I do recomend getting new pics taken and posted on line beacause they do not do the property any justice. It was decorated so nicely very modern yet still cozy. Very IKEA/Pottery Barn. It is actually more spacious than we expected wich was a plus. For a two bedroom condo it had tons of space and places for people to sleep. The second bedroom was a lot bigger than we expected as well. The master room was very nice, we loved the bed sooo comfortable, slept like a baby. The deck outside was awesome plenty of space for us to stretch out and relax. It was clean with everything we needed in the kitchen. I have absolutely nothing negative to say and we will definately be coming back for more! Thanks we had a blast!

A great stay. It started off a bit bumpy as the keys didn't work and some of the office staff at the rental agency were less than helpful. However, the owner's son came with us, fixed the locks and after that, it was heaven. I haven't been here in a few years and I was very impressed with the accommodations. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to my friends.

Probably the nicest unit we've rented there. Been coming there every year for 17 years. The unit's kitchen was great, so updated. The only down side is the view of the ocean is not great from this unit.

We found the condo to be very clean, well furnished and well cared for. It was a quiet relaxing environment. The pool was well cared for. Location with private beach access was very nice.
The updated refurbishing was very nice and appealing.

My family has been going to Beachhead since mid 70's and I have to say, it has been very well kept and I am very impressed. The place exceeded my expectations. The website set very low expectations. The website photos do not represent the property well. I would highly recommend a web site update with a minimum of retaking the pictures of the condo. The decor was a cross between Ikea and Pottery Barn. Beds were comfortable, furniture was sturdy and plentiful and appliances were new. The internet was pretty fickle with slow rates.

The only thing that I can say was we had a wonderful time. I believe that the reservation company could find out if you are first time renters and give more information on how or when you can contact the staff at the rental, and names of staff. The unit
itself was very nice. The Kitchen had low water pressure, but the showers were fine. Great Place!

The water pressure was so low it made washing hands & dishes a pain. The showers seemed to be okay.
The condo itself, especially the kitchen, was very nice. I suggest dark blinds be put in the bedroom by the balcony because the morning sun wakes everyone up.

Honestly, the only issues my husband and I had were the state of the bbq's on the property and the lack of water pressure. Other than that, the condo was comfortable, clean and in a great location. The listing is a bit misleading in that it is not an actual two bedroom but since it was only my husband and I it worked just fine.

Very helpful/friendly rental agents. Awesome kitchen! Overall condo nice and relatively clean - a few little "left overs" from previous tenants under the sofa, but not a big deal. A little disappointed in the outdoor grills - nasty and in poor repair- we ditched our grilling plans. We had a great weekend and it is a lovely place.

We had a nice time in Port Aransas. The condo was lovely and very well equipped. The water pressure in the kitchen was a little low, but we didn't use it much since we had a great dishwasher at our disposal. The view from the back deck was nice. I would definitely stay here again!

My husband, our four small children and my brother stayed at the Peace of Paradise Condo at Beachhead May 17-20, 2010 and had a wonderful experience! The locations was perfect, just steps away from the beach. The condo was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The furnishings from IKEA made it feel extra nice. This was perfect for our size family who needs extra room! I had come to this condo back in the 80's and remember what it looked like...huge improvement!! The only thing I could possibly say that could be improved is that at some point, it would be nice to have an updated playscape for the kids. The current one is a little scary. The pool was wonderful and the management was very friendly. We'll be back!
