The house itself was great! The only downside was the pool. We love to go to the beach then come back and hang by the pool. The pool wasn’t cool and refreshing at all. Warm to the point that we thought it was heated. The rental company said they’d contact HOA to let them know but nothing was done by the time we left so unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy it.

We have been going Port A for over a decade and this time was the best. We arrived early to find our buggy at our rental home. The home was available early as well. The home was exceptional, clean and was above our expectations.

Sunset landing was great
very clean , perfect location , so close to all the great restaurants, super market, entertainment and walking distance to beach, we had Christmas and new years Weekends and enjoyed every single moment
Best part is that we were able to have our fur baby with us and even has a fenced yard
I will be back and recommending to friends and family
Port A escape staff made it super easy to check in and check out they are very attentive

Very happy with the location of the house, it is very close to the restaurants, bars and the beach. Although if you would like to walk to the beach it is a bit to far to walk with all of your beach items. We had a golf cart for the weekend and it was perfect for us. We liked that we had access to the garage to put our beach items and golf cart in over night. We were very happy with the company who is in charge of this property, they called us at 9am to tell us our house was ready for us to check in (6 hours early which was very helpful). Downfalls of the house were that the cable has very limited channels, the couches have stains on them, kitchen pots and pans are very limited, coffee maker was broken, ice maker was not working, and the refrigerator did not keep items very cold. Overall happy with our stay, it is very hard for us to find a house that does not have twin beds in it for our couples vacation.

Unbeatable location, however for being only a few years old, this unit could use some improvement. The kitchen is poorly furnished, living room sofa could use a cleaning, satellite TV package was terribly limited in the channels it offered. This feels much more like a rental unit than someone's personal home.

I can't thank Port A Escapes enough for our wonderful Christmas Vacation. Pelican's Landing was so beautiful! My entire family had the best time celebrating Christmas here. We had everything we needed. Bedrooms were spacious, clean and relaxing. The kitchen/living area was perfect for our family of 10. We will surely be back to visit again!

We had a wonderful time in Port A and staying at Sunrise Cottage 8. The home was clean, functional and beautiful. It was in a great location. 10 min walk to the beach through neighborhoods or a 2-5 minute walk to restaurants, ice cream, snow cones, or the grocery store!. Would HIGHLY recommend it.

We loved staying here because it's a great locale, ez biking distance to everything in old town Port A,clean place and dog friendly. We have a vacation rental in Colorado and are picky vacationers...we love when our guests give us both positive and any negative comments so that we can make our cabin better each time. Here's the following suggestions I would make for this cottage :1) provide an iron/board,2) needs a full length mirror3) there were no hand soaps in the bathroom/kitchen so we bought some4) would be nice if they had furniture on the rock patio side 5)oj juice size cups would be great 6) we had some lights out (exterior/interior) but told the mgmt staff so hopefully they're fixed now. 7) a few more blankets would be nice too. Other than that, we loved it and will return!

This rental is clearly an investment property and not a family's vacation home. There were lots of little things missing that would have made it nicer -- like soap dishes in the bathrooms and hooks for wet towels and bathing suits. The wi-fi did not work for any of us and the TVs were all hooked up to the same Dish, so everyone in the house had to watch the same channel, like it or not. We had a lot of trouble getting into the property -- first, it was not clear from the address info provided to us whether the property was on EAST Ave C or WEST Ave C, so we ended up driving around Port A at 10 p.m. on the night we arrived. The keys that were in the lock box were secured with a twisty-turn combination lock, not a button triggered one, which was a big surprise and which cost us quite a bit of time to get into. The building itself had absolutely no address marker anywhere visible outside, so we weren't sure we were going into the right place until we found a door that would open with our keys. Which wasn't the front door -- the front door lock was too stiff to open with our keys. We did manage to get into the back door, but it was not at all easy to find in the dark. Once we were all inside, we mostly enjoyed the property. It was nice and clean and comfortable for the most part. The pool was really nice. This property and its management just need some polishing touches. We probably wouldn't return here, though, because it is about a half mile walk to the beach and when you have a big group with little kids and a lot of stuff, it is too far to walk. So if you stay here, you may need to plan to rent a golf cart or get a permit to park your car at the beach.

We had a great time at the beach, with 8 people in the house. Our biggest concern was the bugs. We ended up killing 3-4 large roaches while we were there, which wasn't exactly relaxing. Besides that, the home was really in the perfect location with the perfect amount of space for us. We loved having all the bedrooms upstairs, so it was simple to get away if you wanted to.

Sunrise cottage #8 comfortably slept 9 people. The decor and art are charming. Close to supermarket and the beach. We would love to stay there again.

4 Adults and 3 kids and had plenty of room. Unable to get TV's upstairs to play anything aside from DVD's so no satellite, Internet is a plus. Be nice if had personal grill but at the shared pool worked out OK. Ping Pong table did not have net / work. All-in-all nice place and good location close to town and beach access.

the space was overall very satisfactory. We were disappointed that there were not extra blankets in all the bedrooms, towels or soap in the downstairs 1/2 bath or adequate start up supplies for kitchen or laundry room. Otherwise, it was cute and well situated to the beach.

Location is excellent. 2nd time we stayed in sunrise cottages.
The pool is a great area to hang out. We rented 3 houses so we all met at the pool and planned our day. The houses are super clean and great
Floor plan. All bedrooms upstairs. Half bath down stairs is convenient.

Unit was nicely cleaned -- much more so than when we rented it the previous year. A bit noisy when street traffic gets heavy around 7 AM. Location is within walking distance of grocery store, dining and drinking and shopping establishments, and maybe ten minutes from the beach.

So nice to find 4 bedrooms with full-king size beds in all but one which had double bunk beds. We had 8 adults, 2 children & 1 baby so the beds for 'couples' were perfect for us. Clean, kitchen pretty well stocked, great location if you can't be right on the beach! Pool well maintained such a nice plus. Would definitely rent again. Lots of TV's although 1 bedroom TV not installed properly & did not work at all. Sectional sofa provides lots of seating great for a large crowd but could really use a good cleaning. Staff at Port A Escapes helpful as well.

We really liked the house. The sofa was extremely stained and there were a few spots in the kitchen that needed some cleaning like the drawers, they had crumbs, and some of the silverware looked dirty and was put away like that. It was nothing that a few minutes of work didn't fix. Overall we really enjoyed the house. Both the pool and the house look a lot bigger in the pictures. The only TV that worked was the one down stairs in the living room and when we called to see if someone could come and take a look they basically blew us off and said they would tell maintenance but thy didn't know if they could make it. They never came! We would definitely rent again considering the issues. Oh, the house is very loud because the floors are all wood and everything echos.

Have no complaints, only suggestions. I think it would be a plus to have a BBQ grill at the house and not have to take your food to the community pool area for grilling. The only other suggestion I have is to have the sectional sofa steam cleaned, it is light in color and shows water stains,etc.

I can only think of one change that would be nice, and it's a little thing. But as a senior, it's a high step in or out of the screen back door to the pool. A small step would sure be a nice addition.

This house is a great place to stay. It is located perfectly on a corner for easy access. Everything was accommodating and look forward to renting again in the future.

We stayed 5 nights had 7 adults and 4 children. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house and pool were perfect as 3 of the kids were under 4. We were able to enjoy the beach and the pool, so they were never bored. The house was large enough and the kitchen and living room were perfect for watching the Olympics. The only minor issue was the house is not "sound proof" so once one small child was awake, the whole house was awake. We love Port A, so this was very convenient to anything we wanted to do, and resonably priced.
