Welcome to Tita's Sandcastle LC17! This home showcases an 180 degree Gulf view, features a boardwalk to the beach, and sleeps 10. 2 king bedrooms and a bedroom with 2 twin beds are upstairs. The fourth bedroom with 2 more twin beds is downstairs and is separate from the main house. Ground floor/downstairs is not internally connected. This home is as close to the beach as you can get on Mustang Island! This beach house has a very nice and very large open floor plan including the dinning room, living room, and kitchen. This home is great for gatherings and is very popular! If you would like to rent it, you better call us now! No Smoking. Dogs are welcome. Access to 1 garage.
Parking Rules for Lost Colony
1. No street parking or blocking the common drive. 2 vehicles maximum
2. No Parking a bus, boat, boat trailer, trailer, motorcycle, camper, RV, house trailer, or vehicle over 1 ton anywhere except an approved overflow parking area.
3. No storing a disabled vehicle on property outside of a personal garage.
4. There is no parking allowed in the grass/landscaping.
5. No using another owner's driveway to park.

- Contracting guests must be at least 25 years old, have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID, and be present throughout the entire stay
- This is a PET-FRIENDLY RENTAL. Pet fees are an additional $20.00+tax, per pet, per night. A maximum 3 pets are allowed. Additionally, a pet-cleaning fee is also charged, which is $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days, and $100 for stays of 30 or more days.

Location. Location. Location.
Tita's Sandcastle LC17 is the house if you want to stay "on the beach" in Port Aransas. I'm not aware of any home that is closer to the beach. We joked that we didn't need chairs on the beach because sitting on the deck was about as close as having a chair on the beach. In addition, the outside deck is well equipped with furniture to enjoy the view. And if you want to put your toes in the sand, the boardwalk to the beach is extremely close.
While the location is incredible, the house is a little "tired." As with any house exposed to the salt air, the house has some expected wear and tear. For example, one of the main sliding doors to the deck doesn't open, and most of the windows are missing screens (making it hard to open and enjoy the sounds and breeze.) I could list several other minor issues, but nothing major prevented us from enjoying the house.
The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need to prepare meals. The only glaring exception is that the ice maker doesn't work. Therefore, plan on getting a bag of ice.
Overall, the Lost Colony community has become a rental community. It was jam-packed with lots of families with kids and dogs. Lots of dogs! We had one neighbor that played really loud music on the beach at 3:40 am. Very disrespectful, but those things happen at the beach. Overall, we didn't have any issues with the community.
I would recommend the house if you wanted a fantastic location on the beach. Please don't set your expectations that it will be the nicest house you've ever stayed in (unlike those in Palmilla, Sunflower, Cinnamon Shores, etc), but it's okay. The location makes up for any deficiencies in the house.
A shoutout to the property management firm Port A Escapes: We left a device at the house, and they found it, packed it up, and shipped it back to us. They just charged us for shipping. Family vacation
Words cannot say what a wonderful time we had. The view was breathtaking the house was awesome. House was well equipped from kitchen to bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable. My family had a great time and

Tita's Sandcastle in Lost Colony
This was a great place to stay! It's pet friendly and the kitchen is well equipped. The views and access to the beach are unlike any place that we have ever experienced! It could use a bit of updating and minor repairs. The pocket door to the bathroom on the downstairs main bedroom did not work and should be fixed for bathroom privacy. We had to lock the bedroom door for bathroom privacy. The down stairs bedroom door had a hole on the inside that needs to be repaired. There were grass burs in the lawn, but we worked around them. I wish that there was beach access for golf carts. We reserved a golf cart only to find out that there was not golf cart accessible roads to the beach. Luckily Island Outfitters returned our money. Nice House Not Nice Mosquitoes
I put “mosquitoes” in the title so future guests wouldn’t forget to bring mosquito spray. The pet friendly beach house was really nice for our family. It was clean and Port A Escapes staff were very friendly. Kitchen was nicely stocked but future guests might want to throw in their own 7” non stick frying pan if they intend on frying eggs. We did see the usual beach roaches in the house, but we could tell the house was sprayed on a regular basis. The laundry room was not in the living area of the house (located downstairs near the garage) but that was not a game changer. Plenty of seating in the kitchen and on the deck. Best beach vacation house ever !!!!!

Best beach house ever !!!!!!

Wonderful
Got this house for a intimate ceremony. Needless to say, we were astonished! Balcony and window views are amazing! Chairs outside did not get hot even with sunbathing all day.
Extremely small mishaps, like the cable on TV not working, but we were at the beach on vacation, so was our least concern to report to get fixed. For anyone concerned about little critters, like bugs, I only seen one but was dying due to the property being maintained/exterminated well.
Ideal location- to not only the beach but to Port Aransas and Padre.
Any time that I had questions or concerns before arrival, I would call and speak with someone immediately and they were also so helpful and nice to us.

What a relaxing time!
The house is very conveniently located steps away from the beach. It was well stocked with necessities such a trash bags, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, towels, etc

Great location for a relaxing weekend
Awesome location and we had a great time. Check in/check out was simple, but a bit confusing at first. I received a communication to go to the office to pick up the key, but then received a text message with door code. This is my second time staying here and we had to pick up a key the last time, but we got checked in ok. The house itself is ok and could use some updating although I did notice the master shower was redone. Pretty much everything else was the same as the last time I stayed here with some of the furniture a bit more worn. A little high price point wise for the condition, but it's the location that I came back for. We did have a minor problem with roaches and ants and the management team was fairly responsive and said they would take care of it. The maintenance guy did not show up until the next day - a heads up would have been nice. Overall. Good, the location and view were the best. House could be cleaner, could use paint on kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I wish they had an elevator and wish the washer and dryer were in the house not in the garage. Had dry clothes out of the dryer but they got wet from the rain trying to get back in the house. Great Getaway
The house was in a good location to the beach & ours was right next to the boardwalk so that was nice. The bedrooms we great to accommodate all 10 of us. We couldn’t find any trash bags so we had to go buy some & the dumpsters are far from the house. The house was clean and the deck area was nice to sit on in the evenings. Titas Sandcastle LC17 Easter 2021
Great stay, unfortunately the down stairs room had fleas, and was for us unusable this stay. Pest control did come while we were there. We have been fortunate to be able to book this unit several times before (dog friendly and we bring the pooches; this was the first major issue we encountered. Beach Escape
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and loved being so close to the ocean waves. The house was a great home base as we are two families traveling together. We enjoyed playing games at the kitchen table with the ocean in view. There were plenty of places to sleep comfortably. The downstairs bedroom was a nice escape where the kids felt like they had their own little apartment. The house had everything we needed. There were a few maintenance items such as broken wheel on outdoor chaise lounge, sliding door was a bit wobbly, can opener was subpar, and the heat did not seem to work. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat
As usual Port A Escapes did not disappoint. Titus Sandcastle was exactly as pictured. We had brand new loungers for the deck, and we pretty much lived on them when we weren't in the water or on the beach. Best Beach House on the Island
Booking, check in and check out were a breeze! The home was perfectly located and very clean! Enough space to sleep our group with lots of places to hang out and relax. The beds, pillows and couch are especially comfy and the home is comfortable. We especially loved the deck area and spent most of our time there! We will be back again!! Geisel vacation
Overall, a very good visit. A couple of minor issues. A leak in the ceiling over the upstairs bed. Maintenance quickly came out and remedied the situation. Item 2 - ice make did not work. Fabulous place for a large family
Well equipped home with plenty of space. Everything functioned properly except the ice maker was frozen. We emptied and reset - within 12 hours we had ice. This was a wonderful home for families and had more than enough space for everyone. Right on the beach! Boardwalk over the dunes just steps away. Awning wasn’t functioning only downfall. Perfect Beach Front Escape

This was our 4th stay in this home as it is the perfect location overlooking the beach. It is an older home and starting to show some wear and tear but still in pretty good shape. They made some recent upgrades such as a new refrigerator, dishwasher and coffee maker. This is the first time we had an ant problem in the kitchen but management was told and said they would spray. Fantastic REAL Beachfront getaway!
There are not a lot of places in Port A where you can be steps from the beach and this house is ONE of the few. We love Lost Colony and have stayed in other homes. This was the best so far. Great panoramic views. Clean home. Great Housekeeping. You do need to bring your own, chairs, canopy, toys, beach towels, if you want those items. What a view!!!
The rental was overall clean. The only issue was the separate room downstairs was not cleaned upon arrival. It was not a problem because we did not need it,so we didn't inform management. The view was spectacular! We didn't want to leave! Vacation in Port A
The house was great and the overall experience was exactly what we expected. I would certainly rent this house again. The only negative was we needed cleaning supplies in the kitchen besides dish washing soap. We ran out of the 2 kitchen hand towels very quickly and had to use bathroom hand towels. We needed spray or Clorox wipes for the counters to be able to keep everything clean during our stay. I will add that to my packing list going forward. Me and my family absolutely loved these homes, i will say though that if you have elderly people with you or anbody that has trouble going up and down stairs this wouldnt be the home for you. I love Tita's Sandcastle as the location could not be more perfect. I have rented this home for my family for the last 3 years. Although the home could use some upgrades, it is still a great facility. It is very clean and well equipped. The only bad experience I had was I found a giant roach in the downstairs room. We would love some hooks in the bathrooms to hang robes, pj's, anything!!! And the shower/tub on the third floor was pretty weird set up. The Thomas Family Summer Vacation
Each summer we look forward to our annual stay at Lost Colony in Tita's Sandcastle #17. It is the condo closest to the water at Lost Colony.We have been coming to Lost Colony for some years now since our grandchildren were babies and they are now teenagers. Great Location
This house has a great location. It is literally right on the beach. Not separated by dunes, etc. It's a bit older and although it was very clean, the house is showing a bit of wear and tear. Especially the small downstairs bedroom that is separate from the rest of the house. And if you don't like stairs this is not for you. Overall a wonderful experience. Patrick at Porta Escapes made the difference. Great businessman. Couldn't use one room...toxic oder....I'm sure no one else will experience this. Patrick will see to it. Broken ice maker. There were 9 of us. Had to buy paper products, and garbage bags. Ad states 11 can be accomidated. Great ocean view. Very nice home. Good furnishings. Great getaway
We have stayed at LC 3 times and this rental is the best. Updated bathrooms and kitchen. One suggestion would be helpful to stock a few trash bags, salt and pepper and laundry detergent just to start people out. These are things you forget to bring!! BIG Family Vacation
