The city hugs the salty Gulf of Mexico and its sprawling turquoise waters, creating 6.3 miles of sandy beaches from Aransas Pass to the island’s uninhibited state park. Common mid-day pursuits include deep-sea fishing, Alister Street shopping, dolphin tours, and, of course, beach relaxation. And there’s no better place to commemorate a glorious day spent in Gulf Coast heaven than inside one of our luxurious Port Aransas condos, only a short stroll from the beach.
Golfers will discover a handful of the Lonestar State’s most beloved links-style courses. While links-style designs lack water hazards and towering trees, they require much more accuracy due to infrequent wind gusts and elongated rough. That being said, they’re visual delights that help make any challenge seem dauntless. Let’s start our Port Aransas area golf course guide here on Mustang Island at the always spellbinding Palmilla Beach Golf Course.
Port Aransas, Texas, is full of aquatic surprises. You don’t need to travel all the way to SeaWorld to meet a pod of friendly, curious, and deniably beautiful Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. Approximately 60 dolphins reside in Port Aransas Bay’s teal water, primarily near the Lydia Ann Channel. Contrary to popular belief, most dolphin tours in Port Aransas run throughout the year. These slippery, giggly pods never swim south, as these waters remain at idyllic temperatures, even in the heart of “winter.”
