Description

Beachtastic BH502 is a 2nd floor condo, with no elevator access. It offers an open-concept living area provides enough space for your family to sit & relax together. There is a full kitchen complete with everything you will need. The first bedroom has a King size bed and the second bedroom, 2 full size beds. Both bedrooms have there own full bath. Oh! Did we mention the sunrises are amazing! Nestled in the golden dunes of Mustang Island, Beachhead condos all have awesome gulf views. The complex amenities include a heated swimming pool, community charcoal grills, community game room, a playground, and a private boardwalk to the beach. All units have private balconies to enjoy gulf views and breezes. Pets are not permitted in this unit and smoking is allowed outside only.

Per HOA: Before traveling to Port Aransas/Beachhead Condos, please plan the correct number of vehicles you drive in accordance to the rules below. Properly planning the correct number of vehicles prior to your departure will enhance your vacation experience:

Beachhead Condos allows parking for 2 vehicles maximum. Golf carts do count as vehicles. Violators will be towed by the HOA

Enjoyed Our Stay

We’ve rented this unit for three years during mid Jan. thru the 1st week in March. We appreciated the new floors and toilets this year. The only issue we have is with the kitchen. It is not supplied with the necessities for a long stay. There is very little cutlery to eat with, small bowls for cereal and salads are very limited, wine glasses are next to none, cooking utensils are few and some are broken, pots and pans are not in very good shape. We did request a large frying pan and some cutting boards from out rental company this year and we did receive them.The other above kitchen things we have been bringing from home which we really should not have to do. The oven works fine, but the stove top burners don’t regulate very well. We have found the unit to be fairly clean with the exception of the windows and blinds which were quite disgusting this year. We also bring two folding chairs with us since there are only 4 chairs to use at the table. I feel that at least some of the kitchen issues need to be addressed. If you have guests that are new to the unit, they probably would not be happy with the lack of cutlery and small bowls for instance. And, I have to admit that we would be happy not to have to bring so much stuff with us. You have a beautiful condo and by addressing at least some of these issues, it would be spectacular! Decompression time

We have rented condos at Beachhead for a number of times over the last thirty years and have always had a good experience. The condo has a view of the gulf, although the beach is somewhat obstructed by the dunes. They have a private boardwalk with close proximity to the beach. The pool is very nice and it’s heated.

Great location. Short walk to the beach. Will definitely book again. Only problem was that the bathtub shower was slow to drain.

Cute condo but needs some attention

Unit 502- Union arrival initial impression was good. Cute decor and appeared clean. We were aware that Beachhead is an older but updated establishment, however there were about 5 “spot spots” in the floor, holes in the wall around shower curtain rods, and pet peeve ... the master bathtub wasn’t clean, even had hair left in the drain. We didn’t complain to the office because it wasn’t a deal breaker. The property grounds themselves are beautiful and the booking process was seemless. Master bed is extremely firm. Minimal view of the beach from the balcony due to the dunes. However, Weith this unit you’re just a few steps from the boardwalk, playground pool and game room. Overall it served its purpose. But if you’re looking for something a little more modern or an updated condo I’d look elsewhere.

Awesome condo with perfect location!

The condo was located perfectly: so close to the beach and also to town. The condo itself is decorated nicely and has a well-equipped kitchen, two separate bedrooms AND bathrooms, and a large TV. The complex has a large, very nice pool and grills, which we used almost every night. Check in/out was very easy. We loved our stay here and will book this condo with Port A Escapes again!

A Winter Texan Stay

Although the weather didn’t always cooperate, we enjoyed our stay at Beach Head in Port Aransas. The condo was very comfortable. We enjoyed the convenience of walking down to the beach and the on-site pool (although the pool wasn’t always as warm as we would have liked). The only complaint we had regarding our condo was regarding the lack of sufficient cutlery for eating and how mismatched it is. We love Port Aransas!

Port A Escape

Overall, the condo was dated; bathrooms very small but it served it's purpose. Clean. Biggest disappointment was lack of balcony access (under repair). Had a major rainstorm just prior so retrieving items from from car was difficult. Beach access was wonderful! One thing I would ask for is a short list cleaning items available. I didn't check every closet/drawer/etc. so I ended up purchasing some items (dishwasher soap, etc) and then later found it.

Beach boardwalk condo

Beach head 502 .... June 2020

The property in general was obviously improved from our last post Harvey stay, the pool / activity area was a huge plus. Parking and beach access was a major selling point for our group. The bathrooms had issues though. Bathroom 1’s tube hot water faucet would not turn off completely....dripping (noise) our entire stay, bathroom 2’s toilet had a slow leak so the water would cycle on to refill regularly. Both of these were a inside noise pollution issue, especially during the night. Bathroom 1’s sink was a slow drain situation... maybe a sand and or hair clog?

Good location to access the beach

I would have liked some shade on the beach to sit and rest. Your rental plan can include a service for which you can charge to place a tent, to have some chairs. This will help seniors like us.

Beachtastic was awesome 502BH ! Wonderful experience!

Property was in a great location and the amenities were great! The grounds were kept in wonderful delights of flowers and tropicals no stickers, lush lawn. ( I compliment the grounds keepers) Well Maintained but more a bit above. I loved the solar lights that you looked at during the night that looked liked a flames burning.
The Condo was decorated in beach theme and was beautiful and very pleasing to the eye. The couch and loveseat very comfy and the bedrooms were very nice to sleep on, airy sheets and quilts that I am now trying to find for my home. The swimming pool was exquisite and had a game room with ping pong table and foosball and air hockey quite fun!
We loved the walk to the beach on the board walk and then rinse off station was very nice. The playground equipment needs a bit of attention but somethings functional. I might recommend to the cleaning crew to put in a swifter for the guests to use, I would have gladly cleaned the floors with it.
Since we tracked in a bit of sand. Sweeping was fine. The Patio was very nice for us to have coffee on in the morning. GREAT VIEW OF THE BEACH ! Loved Loved seeing the ships and boats come in from Canal by the Jetty. My family loved staying there very satified a 5 stars or a 10! Very Happy with the location a 5 stars. Only thing was my family did not want to leave they want to stay forever! Hope to beable to come and stay again. !

Great condo by the beach

Our condominium was really nice. It was clean and well kept and had an amazing view of the ocean! The only issue we had was the keys to the door did not turn easily and it was at times difficult to unlock the doors. The facilities at beachhead were great and the heated pool was amazing when it was turned on. We had a great time and would recommend this condo to friends and family!

Happy Overall with One Big Complaint

Great condo complex location. Pool is very nice! Unit layout is absolutley perfect. One big compnaint, the unit has GROSS carpet throughout. I mean EVERYWHERE. In the kitchen, in the bathrooms. Toilets are mounted right on top of it nasty! I would certainly consider staying at Beachhead again but definitely not in this unit unless carpet is removed and would verify flooring in other units before booking.

Good location

These condos are in a great location, an easy walk to beach and drive into town. The view of the ocean from the pool is beautiful. My main concern was that the condo has carpet through out, even in the bathrooms and kitchen, and it is in pretty bad condition. I would stay in this complex again but I would find a more updated unit.

A nice place to stay

Overall, this is a great place to stay. Only problems were limited parking and the mosquitoes were HORRIBLE! This is mostly due to the flooding that happened at Port A and the property did spray for bugs twice but it was just very, very bad this year. Other than that, a great place to stay. I loved walking to the beach!

Great Spot With Great Access To Beach

We were very pleased with our stay, we had a 1 year old with us and the short walk to the beach was great. The condo was is in good shape, the only thing we noticed was a slight smell in the condo but nothing major. We would certainly rent this again in the future.

it was great. short walk to beach. Nice pool, close to town, and very comfortable. Beachwalk had some pretty deep sand near the beach, but understandable after storm.

Port Aransas Beachhead

I would recommend the Beachhead. There were, however, a couple of issues. The sitting room furniture was very hard and uncomfortable. Also, there was very little hot water and the bath tub faucet leaked heavily the whole time. I called Port A Escapes twice about it but maintenance never showed up to fix it. We showered in shifts, and just lived with it! Other than these issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Port Aransas is our favorite place to "chill out"! We'll be back!!

island time

Very clean, great location, taking the board walk to the beach in the morning is what vacation is all about(the tranquility) the maintenance man was kind enough to help us look for the vollyball and let us know when the pool would be open. this was my second stay here and would definatly come back

Most uncomfortable furniture ever

Property was in a good location and very clean and fairly updated. The decor was kind of kitchsy and the furniture was super uncomfortable. It smelled old and musty in the condo and the air conditioner was not very cold.

Fall beach time

Comments: Unit is Beach Head not Beach Ball. Instructions for access to unit were vague (ie, access is on second level). Plumbing was not very good - we had to clear the master toilet after only 1 day. Overall, the condition of unit was good, access to beach was convenient.

Because of construction on the main road that lead to the condo., we had to ask someone in a neighboring condo how to enter the property because the drive way was blocked for 3 days.
