This gorgeous home has 5 bedrooms and 5 baths, with 3 king, 2 queens, four twin beds and a private pool. On the ground floor you will find 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Both bedrooms have King size beds. There is also a common area on the first floor with two twin beds and another twin bed with trundle. The second floor has 1 bedroom with 1 queen bed. The third floor has 2 primary suites, the first with a Queen and the second with a King that offers ocean views and a truly luxurious bathroom with a large soaking tub!. It also offers a spacious, open living room and a beautiful dining room that seats 10. The fully stocked kitchen is also on this floor. The outdoor living is perfect for gathering together by the private pool. Plenty of outdoor seating for all guests. Enjoy the ultimate Port A beach experience. Come enjoy all this house has to offer and have a wonderful beach vacation! The downstairs of this home is now connected to the upstairs through an interior staircase. Good place to stay for a group !
Property had issues with pool not clean on arrival and AC issues on the 3rd floor but they were handled very efficiently and quickly by Maintenance.
Cleaning crew did a good job except for wiping down hand rails and door knobs these should be added to the list to clean/disinfect between renters.
Smoke alarms/batteries should be put on a schedule to change
So they won’t sound or beep to disturb guest while they wait for maintenance
Overall good area close to the beach !!

Second Repeat Rental

We didn’t have hot water until next day. Maintenance came first thing next morning. Very courteous. Explained it is an “on demand” (not water heater) system. Everyone felt we wasted a lot of water waiting for usable heated water. Bathroom sink (right facing upon entry) does not drain well. Overall, a comfortable stay. Thank you!

Graduation Family Trip
Our son graduated and we have family all over the east coast. We had plenty of room for our guest to relax and spend time together. The house was amazing!Definitely recommended for a large group.

The house was great and fit my family to a T.
The house was well equipped for a big Thanksgiving dinner. Had a little dishwasher problem and they were right on and got it corrected. Fit all our need. Weather could have been a little warmer, but I think that’s out of their control. Would recommend renting!!

We all enjoyed our trip. From 80 years to 1 1/2 years. The spacious kitchen area made it a nice gathering place. The out door area was nice but the pool was to cold to get used.

Beautiful and Spacious Home

We absolutely loved this beach house. It accommodated our entire group comfortably with their own room and restroom. We celebrated our daughter's birthday here and it was perfect! Distance to the beach wasn't far at all, maybe about a 10 min walk and even less in a golf cart. Having a private pool and BBQ pit was nice as well. Overall, we were all very satisfied with this rental and would 100% recommend to others and stay here again.

Beach house getaway

This beach house was wonderful! The bedrooms were all tucked away from the large family room/kitchen, the large dining and kitchen comfortably accommodated all 10 of us at the same time and the location was a short walk to the beach, if the pool was heated, I would never leave!

We absolutely loved Island Star! It was by far the most beautifully decorated rental I’ve stayed in. The location was perfect and the bedroom/bathroom layout was perfect for our 5 families staying. The pool was fantastic to be able to take a dip after a long day at the beach. I would highly recommend this vacation spot!

Most Amazing House in Port A

We rented this beautiful home after searching for a week straight and let me tell you it DID NOT disappoint. We had 11 women stay in this home and there was not one complaint and thats saying a lot ! Very clean and modern, had all utensils we needed to cook and beds were so comfy! I would recommend this home and renter a hundred times over ! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home ! Only thing negative was the trash cans were full so we felt horrible leaving trash on the porch.

Best House we ever stayed in!

We found it! The perfect house for our family. We go to the coast as a family every year--there are 13 in our family, we need at least 5 bedrooms. The three floors gave everyone a bedroom and the space they needed--quiet for those with no children, space for those with children. The internal staircase keeps our family together. The place is decorated beyond imagination--every wall and space displays a coastal scene--just beautiful. The private pool is perfect, allowing the kids to play without us having to take all of our floats, etc. to a public pool and it was a great place to cool off after a day at the beach. One more plus, they let us in as soon as the unit was ready--no waiting til the clock hit 4! We will be booking here every year!

4th of July Family vacation

We had a wonderful time at Island Star. The house was beautifully decorated and well maintained. Very clean. The kitchen fully stocked. The pool was clean and clear and cool after a day on the beach. There were 13 of us and there was ample room for us to spread out and not feel crowded at all. The outdoor grill was out of propane and one of the showers needed repair but maintenance came quickly and took care of both items. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved our rental had enough beds and room to accommodate our family. House is beautiful and great plus is the private pool. Once your done at the beach kiddos were able to enjoy and relax at the pool. Very close to beach access which is a plus.

We checked into this house and were all immediately enchanted with its beauty. Lots of rental properties have great locations but few make you want to stay in them again as they’re often poorly decorated and uncomfortable. This was gorgeously updated and the beds were very cozy. Another plus was that within the neighborhood is a beautiful boardwalk directly onto the beach providing lovely views in the morning for sunrise or moonrises in the evening!

Family Vaca 2020
All in all this home was wonderful for our large family. We like to try and get together with all the grown kids and grandchildren. This is the first time I didn't have a grandchild sleeping in our room. Plenty of room to spread out. One of my big worries was the pool having 7 kids but the king room on the first floor is the only room with access and they had a chain lock on the door. Only reason the general condition received a 4 star is the pool needed to be cleaned. We checked in on Wed and it wasn't cleaned until Fri. Location is doable but tough with lots of kids and didn't help with the curfew in place for the beaches. We had rented a golf-cart and it would take 3 trips to set up and unload family. Once the curfew is lifted and you are allowed to park closer to the beach it will be better but again I don't feel it is in walking distance with little people. Loved the house and I would recommend for a big family! It got 2 thumbs up from our crew!

myself and 13 other ladies got to enjoy my 4 day bachelorette party bash at this beautiful house!!! we had a great time! the house was very clean and had everything we needed. the beds.... OMG soooo comfy! haha no complaint about this house!
But a small caution if you bring kids! we were about to cook on the grill and a snake popped out from under it...eek! which can happen anywhere!
oh and if you have freshly died blonde hair make sure you bring your purple shampoo! my hair and a friends hair turned green. we both had our hair done three days before the trip for it was freshly bleached. the pool guy was there when we arrived and was shocking the pool. told us to wait an hour before we get in. we where at the beach for 3 and came back and got in and our hair was green.
BUT other than that small set back we loved this place. we will defiantly come back!!
oh and bring trash bags!!

All was wonderful- the home was so nice, the management co. was very helpful and accommodating.The only suggestion would be to fix or replace the refrigerator - The panel on the inside back was broken, but that was a very, very minor thing. This house is amazing! We (10 adults and 2 kids) had more than enough space to spread out. 4 private bedrooms and 1 large bedroom with multiple beds was a perfect setup for our long weekend. The boardwalk to get to the beach is very close, although we had to use a truck to take all of our big items to the beach (tent, chairs, coolers etc.) It is too long of a walk and with too many stairs up and down to do with kids and lots of stuff. But if you're just walking with minimal stuff it's great!
The only issue we had was the internet not working when we arrived. I called Port Escapes and they sent someone over and he fixed it immediately.
The house has everything you need for cooking. It is beautifully decorated and spacious. I'd recommend it to anyone with a larger group.

Great location and lots of space
The house was great! We could walk to the beach and Port A was a short drive away. The bottom floor was only accessible through outside stairs, but the weather was great so it did not change anything we did. The pool and hot tub were great, but the hot tub was off when we got in and had to wait for it to heat up (overnight). We brought our own beach towels as instructed, but there were no extra towels in the house. The house had a lot of room to be together and if you wanted to be apart there was room for that too. There was 12 of us and had plenty of room.

Family Vacation 2014
This house is amazing and the best we have ever stayed in as far as beds and baths for everyone. The decor is awesome. We weren't able to enjoy the outdoors like we would have liked to because the mosquitoes were horrible. This is not the fault of the owners but it would have been nice regardless. I wish it was walking distance to the beach but having a convenient store nearby was, well, convenient. I would definitely recommend this house.

Everyone had a wonderful time at the beach this year. The children enjoyed the pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. I did miss having a BBQ grill as it would keep from heating the house with the oven. Overall we had great time and loved the house.

Beautiful home - perfect for an extended family gathering!
We had a wonderful time! We arrived and the house was beautiful with very good upkeep. Our only concern was that clearly the pool had not been cleaned from previous occupants and was disappointed it had not been cleaned - however, after a phone call to the property management resulted in a pool coming out the very next day and cleaning the pool. Otherwise, a wonderful place and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fantastic wedding and reception

Got married on the gazibo between the beach and houses. Wonderful view of the Gulf and beach. Reception at the house. Had family from out of state with us. Everyone enjoyed the stay and loved the house. We could not get the jacussi bath in the master bath to work and the ice maker would not despense ice thru the door. That was the only issues we had. Other than that, we had a great time and possibly have a family reunion there in the future.

We arrived, and the house was even better than expected! We came with a group of 14, and just as described there were beds for all. The downstairs is an open room with several beds, and there is a private bedroom with a private bathroom on that level as well. The entry to the pool is thru this bedroom, so to allow for privacy we opened the fence, so the kids did not tromp thru the bedroom.
The boardwalk is a bit of a distance, but we walked it everyday, you cant beat the scenery, so why not? We would also have one car drive and drop off all our beach chairs and supplies and then drive back and walk down. The only part we did not like, was not having the downstairs connected to the upstairs. We have younger children, and it was kind of unnerving the thought of them being in the downstairs and they would have to walk outside in the middle of the night if they needed to come upstairs to find their parent. If they were teenagers I would not have worried as much. As a mother, I was constantly walking down (through the outside) to check on them in the middle of the night. We wound up setting beds up on the couches for the younger guys who were a bit nervous about being so far from the parents. The home is well equipped, clean and beautifully maintained. I would return, but need to rethink the bedroom situation. For the adults we did have a hard time deciding bedrooms for us, because one bedroom is huge and is the master bedroom, with a private balcony, and large bathroom -- blows away all the other bedrooms. We had to draw straws to decide who got that room! thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Island Star really a star

707 Park Place was a dream site for our extended family reunion. The house was spacious, clean, cool and/or warm as conditions required. My gourmet wife was happy she brought a lot of her own specialty cooking tools, but the appliances performed well. Access to the beautiful beach was easy - by car or on foot via the private boardwalk. While only the young and the brave dared the coolness of the swimming pool in December it was a welcome addition that was well-maintained by weekly visits of a cleaning pro. The hot tub needs a more consistent thermostat and entry and exit is tough on seniors. For golf addicts like me, the nearness of Newport Dunes and the warm professionalism of it's staff was wonderful. As the family came and went via Corpus Christi airport, which proved reasonably convenient, my wife and I spent a month at Island Star. It was a great month!

Beach house
The house is amazing and we will definitely rent it again. I only have 2 beefs with the house though. One is that the walk to the beach is not exactly short. It does only take a hot minute but if you are carrying any coolers or anything of significance then you are taking your car, period. Also, there is no grill at the house. No gas grill i understand but at least put a charcoal grill in there for us to use.

Lots of Fun in Port A

The house worked very well for us. We had 3 families that included one 3 month old and two 9 month old infants. We also had a 3 and a 5 year old along with 6 adults. We needed lots of space and sleeping areas and the house provided that very well. The pool was terrifice especially for the 5 and 3 year old kids. The beach was pristine with clean sand and very clear blue water all the way to the shore. The fact that we could drive up to the beach is terrific because of the baby stuff we had to carry. The bigger kids enjoyed the board walk to and from the beach. Overall the experience was very good and we are planning to come back in two years when the babies get a little bigger.

A Great Place to Stay in Port A
The house was perfect for our group. Beautifully decorated and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more. The swimming pool was a "hit" with the kids. Any problem we had was taken care of immediately by the management company. Turned in 3 or 4 minor maintenance issues to management when we departed. We would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent Vacation Spot
The house was decorated wonderfully with plenty of space for our families. The one thing I was not aware of prior to our arrival was the downstairs room was not connected through the inside of the house. It ended up working out fine, but I believe that should be disclosed as part of the description of the property. The walk way to the beach needs a bit of work as the final step to get onto the beach is not really a step, rather a leap down from about four feet. Not a problem for the kids, but for the older folks in our party it was not usable. The pool and hot tub were wonderful to have for the kids and adults alike. We would consider staying here again in the future. The close proximity to town was also very nice.

Fun friend family trip

We had four families stay in the house and the house was great! Each family had their own room and shower and the kids (except for my four year old) loved the downstairs kid room. My daughter was scared to be in the downstairs room because it wasn't connected to the house from the inside, the downstairs has it's own lock and you have to use the stairs outside to get in the house upstairs. She was scared to be down there at night but it didn't seem to bother all the other kids. The kitchen was small and it was tough for more than two people to be in there at a time to cook. The rest of the house is roomy and was very clean and nice. All couples thought the beds were very comfortable. The pool and hot tub area is very nice and neat however it would have been nice if the pool was cleaner. There was a lot of sand in the pool and a crab but, the kids had fun fetching it out. Only complaint was there were ants in several different areas of the house to include the kitchen and bathrooms. The house must have been cleaned very well before we got there because we didn't notice the ants until the end of our second day and the population continued to grow for the next several days.

The house was beautiful! It was perfect for our family with plenty of room for everyone. Th eonly thing missing was a grill. We brought a bunch of stuff to cook on a grill and no luck.

Vacation at port a
The boardwalk was to difficult for our younger grandchildren 2,5,7 and hard for us grandparents also so we drove to the beach which was fine. Just know that there are many, many stairs to the beach.

After total knee surgery four months ago, the walk to the beach, over the bridge was too far and too much. The exercise up and down the stairs was all I could handle. However, my family had a great time. That's what counts.

Great House for Teenagers

Our family had a great time in this beautifully decorated home. I especially loved the seperation of the bottom floor from the top two floors. It was perfect for our teenagers. The private pool and hot tub were a terrific bonus! I do wish the pool was more easily accessible.

Christmas Wedding

Due to the weather, we had to relocate our beach wedding to the rental house. It was still the intimate wedding. The way the house is decorated with all the beach themes made it perfect for the pictures and we still had the feel of the beach. My son was on liberty from the Navy and was able to walk me down the stairs and give me away. It was a perfect weekend. We would love to come back and try out the pool and hot tub when it's not raining and cold. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.
