Mango and Cash VW80 is a pet friendly, poolside home is sure to delight! The open kitchen, living room and dining room is the perfect gathering spot for family time; games, dinner and even movie night with a 55 inch flat screen TV. Ample dining seating. Half bath and laundry is located just the kitchen. All bedrooms have their own bath rooms. The ground floor offers the first king bedroom. Upstairs offers the second king bedroom. A great family bedroom; with a queen and twin over full bunk. The fourth bedroom has a full over queen bunk bed. The second floor also boasts an additional living area with a full size hide-a-bed, a big TV, and a kitchenette.
Before traveling to Port Aransas/Village Walk please plan the correct number of vehicles you drive in accordance to the rules below:
Mango and Cash VW80 provides 3 paved parking spaces, 2 in the driveway and 1 in the garage, for 3 medium sized vehicles. If you rent a golf cart there is a extra side space to park it on. Parking Tags will be provided by Port Aransas Escapes. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway of VW 80. No Street Parking, No Parking in Red Zones, and No Parking in other Village Walk Driveways. No Boats, Trailers, Buses, RV’s allowed in Village Walk. Towing will be strictly enforced. STR#381458

- This is a PET-FRIENDLY RENTAL. Pet fees are an additional $20.00+tax, per pet, per night. 2 pet Maximum. Additionally, a pet-cleaning fee is also charged, which is $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days, and $100 for stays of 30 or more days.

Exceptional

Spent a coupe of days following Christmas to de-stress and this was definitely the place to do it! There is so much space to enjoy. Whether indoor or outdoor - if you have a large number traveling with you there is always a place to get off to yourself if you want. Lovely little community. Port A Escapes was a delight to work with - made arrival and checkin/checkout a breeze. Loved that the bunk beds were significant size - we had a 17 and two 20 yr olds with us and the beds were comfortable for them.

Mango and Cash

The house is located in a good area and the swimming pool was right next to the house. That was a plus because we could just walk out the back door and go to the pool. I loved how each room had it's own bathroom and there is a half bath downstairs. We did have trouble with the living room tv not working on our last day in the house and the downstairs bedroom TV didn't connect to Wi-Fi provided through the entire stay. I called to see if I could get those fix which they said they'd send someone that day. When we returned in the evening they were not fixed. However, there was a Hurricane coming to the Gulf so they may have been preparing for that. The house is big enough for a family of 12. Spacious and clean for the most part. The rug in the living room had chips on it and the floor. Overall, we loved the house.
Thank you for being an amazing guest. Apologies for the wifi issues not being taken care of. Our staff was prepping for the storm but still should have addressed your concerns. Please come back soon and give us another chance to impress.

Property OK, but services lacking
For $300 charged as a cleaning fee, one would expect to see a cleaning person come in to replace towels or linens, as needed, and to replenish cleaning supplies. This charge apparently only applies to the single cleaning that occurs prior to taking possession. Otherwise you are on your own and you have to go to the store to get dishwasher and laundry supplies if you require more than two washings. The rooms were in good condition and were clean upon arrival, but the garage doors did not open except by going inside the garage and using the wall mounted opener. No garage door remote and the outside keypad was not functioning. This made parking our three vehicles a bit of a chore each time. The external door deadbolts were also frozen and not functioning upon arrival and only one of the two locks were repaired. The upstairs AC was also not working for the first 24 hours. Kevin the AC repair guy was good and after he was finally notified by management he came over promptly, identified the problem and fixed it. Quiet hours did not discourage after midnight use of the adjacent community pool with yelling by drunken users at 3am that woke us up. No beach access and too far to walk, so going to the beach requires transportation.
Thank you for your honest review. We mention in our online property description and your rental agreement that each house has a starter set of kitchen & bathroom supplies. Garage door opener remotes are not given out because they are often lost or taken home. We apologize that the key pad was not functioning. We will take care of that right away. Village Walk is a popular vacation rental neighborhood that has many property management companies represented. After-hours noise is beyond our control. We hope you will give us another chance to impress you!

Great house. Great location

Spent a week working remotely here while family enjoyed vacation in parallel. Village Walk is a nice, quieter neighborhood, but close enough to the ocean to feel the breeze from the patio or roof top deck. House was very clean, good layout, and comfortable with 10 people. Only challenge was there really isn't a quite place to work. This house is right next to one of the community pools (great if you want to watch your family, but might prefer to be a couple houses away). Communication with Port A Escapes was excellent, with easy check-in/out process. Need to rent a golf cart with this location.

Spring Break 2024

We arrived to a clean and fully stocked home. Bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces fit our group perfectly. We were next to the pool which was nice and since pool closed at 10:00 there was not a noise issue. We saw and spoke to the security guard ,Victoria, each night who patrolled the community. She was friendly and visible. We felt safe. The streets were tight for parking but we managed fine with our XL SUV and Truck. We would stay there again.

We stayed at Mango and Cash in April and really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for the family, and pet friendly, which is a must! Comfortable beds and plenty of kitchen ware. The air conditioning was a bit problematic but the property manager was very helpful and effective in solving the problem. They responded quickly to any concerns we had .I would highly recommend the village walk area because it is gated and quiet. The night are lovely with the palm trees lit up and the community is gated. It feels very safe andwalking around the village is lovely.

Perfect Port A Experience

This was our 2nd year staying in this house. We always enjoy Port A and have stayed at dozens of condos and homes but this house everything we need. It's big enough to accommodate last minute kids that always seem to join our group without cramping the parents. The location next to the pool is perfect and you can get anywhere on the island in a golf cart. Parking can be challenged and the neighborhood security is up tight which could be a good or bad.

Great visit
Our stay at Mango and Cash was great. The property was clean and well maintained and had plenty of room for our group of 10. The layout of the vacation home was nice and the large dining table facilitated conversation. Thing that would have made it better: potholders (there weren’t any), a dustpan and more trash bags. We look forward to returning to this sweet, colorful house.

Loved It - Just Gorgeous!
Furnished thoughtfully with lots of room for up to twelve. We loved the second floor deck and being right next to the pool. Staff for this location were immediately available to answer any questions when called.

Great times at Mango and Cash!

Everything was in order and clean! The living room was spacious and gave us plenty of room to play card games and hang out in the evenings. We really appreciated the booklet of helpful information. Great location, close to the beach and just down the road from a lot of the bars and restaurants in town. The outdoor shower was a pleasant surprise too. We could have used a few more shower towels, but it wasn't a big deal since we brought a lot of our own too. The upstairs balcony is a great place to greet the morning or watch the day end over an adult beverage.

Although there was not beach access in the neighborhood, we were able to drive less than 3 minutes to get to the beach. We also had chairs, an ice chest, and a canopy to hang up that would not have been fun to carry down to the beach. The house was very spacious and comfortably fit 9 people and one toddler. The house was very clean (especially for being close to the beach) but the upstairs couch with a pull out bed may need to be updated. The mattress was pretty awful but that was really the only trouble we had. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

This was a fantastic house for our family vacation: 8 adults, a 2 and 3 year old, and 3 doggies! The house was so spacious and had everything we needed! We did take the short drive to the beach each day because it was a bit far to walk with all the gear. The staff was wonderful and answered all my correspondence quickly and with detail. Couldn't even hear people in the pool from inside house. Great parking and really liked the upstairs patio deck. Huge kitchen and living room area.

Great place!
This was a great house with plenty of room. The only negative was the overflow parking. This house is right next to the pool which is great until folks are there all night long. Don't forget extra pillows! Overall great location and just a short walk to the beach. We had a great time and can't wait to stay again.

The home arrangement was great for us and 2 dogs. Furniture in excellent shape and bathes and kitchen well equipped. The modem barely functioned so internet connection which we needed was very poor. Best feature for kids is it is next door to the pool which is well maintained. Picture is completely out of date (house is pink). Owners will not let you use the roof deck which overlooks the pool(makes sense when you see it).

We came down to Port Aransas for my husband's 40th birthday and had a wonderful time. We had a total of 12 people in the house and we all stayed comfortably. It was great having 4 1/2 bathrooms so no one really had to share a bathroom. I would recommend this house for multi family stay it works very well!

Our stay was very comfortable aside from the AC unit being broken when we got there. The staff was willing to move us to a different condo but got it fixed first thing in the morning. This was no ones fault and was taken care of in a very timely manner. The pool is right next door! We could see the kids through the kitchen window. We will definitely stay here again. Beautiful place!

Nice home, spacious. Had to wash most dishes before using them. Surfaces very clean, needs deep cleaning and overall painting on inside walls. White not great for heavy traffic. Great being right next to pool!

This family home is bright and spacious, cheerful and well-located. We had room to have fun together and also we all had a space to call our own. The beach was glorious and the nice and clean pool is right next door. We can't wait to go back!

the house is wonderful. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for guests.

Fun family time
The house was great for our family. There was plenty of room for everybody. Kitchen utensils were a bit lacking, so I will bring some from home next time. The remotes for the DVD players did not work. Overall, we were very happy with the house.

Great house, but outdoor chairs were broken, the grill was extremely dirty, the fold out couch was broken, the door handle in the upstairs bedroom was falling off, and there were ants in the kitchen.

Our getaway for a month
Mango and Cash is a great house...the layout is good for having friends visit and entertaining.
We are an older couple and found the beds and furniture to be a little low and hard.
The location is close to town, however there is no walkway to the beach which we found to be a little inconvenient .
Overall we enjoyed out stay and the home is quite nice.

Beautiful Place
The house was in great condition. Very clean and lots of space. Perfect location and size. Only issue we had was property management didn't follow through on what they say they were going to do and we had to chase them to finally get what we needed. They

one or two breakers needed to be reset, unable to get to panel in owner garage. Great house/updated design with everything you need/plenty of room and easy to maintain while there. other than the A.M. construction noise/crew (dangit!) and vehicles next

Another Fantastic Memorial Day

This was our second year to visit Port Aransas for Memorial Day. The weather was windy but the house was great. We had 14 people stay at the house. Would have been more comfortable with 12 in this house. The house itself is very nice. It has a garage to store golf clubs and beach gear. The roof top patio was very nice. Plenty of beds and TVs. We had a problem with the AC leaking water inside but maintenance was out ASAP to fix it. The house was clean. Nice bathrooms. Nice appliances. We will definitely stay again.
