Fabulous 3 bedroom/3 bath house, close to the community pool and a short walk to the boardwalk and the beach. Recently remodeled inside and out, this home is large enough to share with family or friends and has plenty of room to relax and be comfortable. The home is far enough outside of town that the beach is quiet and the shelling is great. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and 2 baths on the 2nd level. New hardwood floors and tile throughout the upstairs. The lower level is newly remodeled flooring, paint, and complete bathroom remodel. The first floor has its own private entrance and offers a large area with a new sleeper sofa, a Queen size bed and 2 twin beds, so the house easily sleeps at least 10 people. The downstairs connects to the upstairs by an exterior flight of stairs. No Cable TV - All TVs are Smart TVs on both levels, with the upstairs having a Blue-ray player. Outside deck with a view of the water, fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances. New hardwood floors and tile throughout the upstairs. Come, Relax, and Enjoy!!! NO GARAGE ACCESS! Sorry, no pets allowed.

Great 5-day vacation

We really enjoyed the house. Very clean inside and enjoyed the amenities that were left for us to use. We did have minor issue with fridge upon arrival but someone came out right away and it was nothing major. We enjoyed the use of washer and dryer. Did have issue with getting cable to work on tv but we had our fire stick so it was ok. We also enjoyed the deck at nighttime it was very nice

Great 4-day Getaway
This vacation rental offered us a nice retreat from the city. The neighborhood is quiet and homes are nicely spaced apart. There are a couple of water views from the deck between neighboring homes. Lots of outdoor deck to spread out and enjoy the breeze and sunrise. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, both clean and spacious. Main living/dining/kitchen are also upstairs and open concept. Kitchen is updated and nicely stocked. 3rd bedroom is downstairs and only accessible through a separate outdoor entrance right off the driveway, so not ideal if you have small children to monitor. It was fine for our older teen, although not nearly as homey and nicely furnished as the upstairs. It was poorly lit with 2 dim lamps, but the window A/C unit kept it nice and cool. There is a small fridge and TV, so a good enough big kid/teen hangout. Beach access is down the road towards the gated entrance to the Villas that are on the dunes. The boardwalk is in the middle of the villas, beach access is great.

Annual vacation to PortA over the 4th of July. My daughter, autistic son and I. Property is older but clean and maintained. AC gets plenty cold. Beds comfortable. Short walk to beach on road with little or no traffic. One bedroom is the converted garage. There’s no closet or really bathroom light for getting ready but it’s fine for up to 3 kids.

Happy Stay at the Happy Starfish

Very satisfied with the overall experience and customer service. Immaculate inside and out. Plenty of room for our 8 people. Enjoyed having meals at the dining table which seated 8. Loved sunning and rocking on the large deck. Grilled and chilled on the patio. Close to town where we went fishing at Woody's where we met Winton's guide service and caught 8 red-fish. Had dinner at Virginia's where they cooked our fish that we caught and it was excellent. Also, enjoyed a day of shopping at several different shops. Excellent vacation, everyone enjoyed.

Lovely Weekend in a Lovely Place

We had a near-perfect weekend at the Lucky Starfish. We were a group of seven - four adults and three young boys. We were a comfortable fit in the home, without even using the three beds downstairs, thanks to two large bedrooms and three roomy sofas upstairs. The kitchen and dining area were likewise spacious and well-equipped. And the upper deck had comfortable chairs, perfect for stargazing in the cool of the evening.

Corny name, nice house

Single dad of 3 boys... so, as guys, we have lower expectations, place was nice.. probably too much for our needs... girlfriend and daughter thrown into the mix...higher expectations... they were happy and this house was still more than we needed.
After 5 days there, we still failed to make use of all the amenities.... WiFi was good, TV worked, water was hot... water pressure wasn't great, but stronger than I expected.
Kitchen was well stocked... could have used a few more trash bags in there and coffee filters, you never know what kind of coffee pot or filters are in a rental.
Most important... Port A Escapes - I had a few issues with my rental, all my fault... Port A Escapes handled it all like pros. This is my 3rd time with them managing a rental, and it won't be the last.

Christmas in Port Aransas
We wanted a family Christmas on the beach and this was perfect! Easily accommodated 4 adults and a toddler. Great space to have a family meal and enjoy the views of Port Aransas off the endless deck. Easy access to the beach that even our grandson could walk with us. And a perfect location to Corpus Christi or Port Aransas. We will be coming again!

Great Vacation Home for 2 Families

The house had plenty of room for two families of four. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals. The dining room table was big enough to seat all eight of us and to play games. The walk to the beach was easy and you can park about 200 yards from the beach in the neighborhood closest to the boardwalk. The downstairs room is only accessible from the outside which was okay for our kids ages 9-12 but I would be hesitant to have kids down there any younger.

Great house...horrible mosquitoes.
This is a beautiful property and is very well furnished. It should be noted that the house sit only two lots from the highway and one must walk to the beach. It isn't far, but the mosquitoes we had to fight to get to and from the beach made the distance too far. My 7-year-old was bitten 12 times on her back alone during a walk back from the beach one evening...and we were running! We were there for 4 days and had a fun time...but the mosquitoes and their resistance to bug spray really overshadowed some of the fun. I would return if there was a way to ensure the mosquitoes were being addressed.

We came up for the Beach to Bay Run and had a great stay with our rental. There were 9 of us and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Coming back next yr if not sooner. There was one small complaint and that would be with the woman who handled my check in initially. She was VERY rude and unprofessional. (Very Heavy set woman with blond hair and I believe she had glasses on)I wish I would have gotten her name, but she has no business working with customers. The other ladies were very pleasant. Overall all we had a GREAT time!

Comfortable home...But stairs are very narrow to go up to house.If we would have been 10 years older we might not have made it up with our luggage!!This is 2nd home I have stayed in here and it is very comfortable.Spa Escapes also sent someone over when we had problems with the TV.We rented a few years from Starkey rentals and they pretty much ignored us...thanks for being attentive...Suggest leaving TV instructions... Had 4 remotes!!!!

the property management company was so great to work with from beginning to end. also, the house was perfectly clean and comfortable. it is a bit of a walk to the beach and there isn't clear signage, but if you just walk in the direction of the beach you'll figure it out. great experience all the way around! (btw, the management company told us there wasn't internet access in the house, but there is! pleasant surprise :) )

Family get-away
Overall it was a great experience and we enjoyed our stay. The property was pretty dirty though with sticky spots on the counters and tables, hair and dirt on the floor, crumbs on the couch, and a bad ant problem in the kitchen. Master bedroom needs a mattress pad; only a plastic cover between the sheet and mattress. Deck needs some repairs of loose boards and screws sticking up. A/C unit in bottom level room very dirty and probably needs to be replaced. Location was close to the beach and was a short walk as stated. But even with these things, we still had a great time. Lost Colony is a great subdivision.

Rental experience was ok. Weather did not

Suggest that owners clear out bedroom closets,
especially the floor area so there is room to

Beach Paradise

Another great vacation rental from Port A Escapes. Just as the pictures show, the house is light and airy with plenty of comfortable options for watching tv or curling up with a good book. Great getaway !

This rental was more than we expected in terms of location, spaciousness, and size. We had a large family of 8 and we had way more living space than we required. Great experience with the rental company, who were always professional and very friendly. We felt very comfortable and the large sofas hosted many a long afternoon nap! The only small negative was the broken ice machine in the fridge... Easily solved by buying our own ice but would have been a huge plus to have ice maker in the kitchen already. We had such a great time !! Would def return.

Location was very good, and we would definitely rent there again. The house was very clean and well stocked with a nice decor and plenty of room, looks just as nice as the photos!, nice deck (can see a SLIVER of the ocean from up there), with lots of room. The beach it's lined up with is quite nice, soft sand, though there is seaweed, but great for kids. Does have traffic driving on beach occasionally, probably quite busy in summer months. So, here's the issues & things to be aware of:
1. stairs are very steep (bad for toddlers & elderly/injured)
2. Second floor and first floor are connected only by stairs outside - if you have older indepedent kids, it's great - they have a completely separate sleeping area with shower, bathroom, mini-fridge, 3 good beds, dvd player/tv and couch. If younger, you REALLY need baby monitor at the least.
3. Advertises sleeper sofa, there were NO pull-out sleeper sofas or ones big enough to comfortably sleep an adult
4. Pool is not heated, so if winter time not useful.
5. Grill is basic Weber round charcoal, downstairs under deck, so not very easy to get to and from. We didn't use it, just wasn't worth it. But kitchen was well stocked, so no biggie.
6. This was second furthest unit in the area, which meant a fairly long walk along drive way (about 5 minutes), but definitely bearable, and didn't have to cross any roads.
Overall, it was great, well worth it, and staff was very helpful and worked with us so didn't have to go out of our way (like delivery of keys or other stuff).
