Introducing Sunny Daze 690SP. This is a very spacious, classy, and comfortable home. You enter through the second floor stairs where you will find an open living room/kitchen area, a dining area and two bedrooms and one full bath. Both of the bedrooms on this level have queen size beds. The third floor offers the main suite, with a King size bed and a huge bathroom complete with a garden tub. The fourth bedroom is also on this level. It has a queen size bed and there is also a full bath in this room.
On the first floor, you will find a bunk room, with four twin beds and another bedroom with 2 Queen beds, a bath room and a laundry room. There are also 3 twin rollaways in the home. There is a one car garage for your use. This home offers wireless internet and has a charcoal grill. Bring the whole family for a wonderful vacation in Sunny Daze! Pets are allowed for an additional $25.00+tax per night, per pet, fee.

Port A family vacation
Was a very nice home that needs attention. Not as clean as I would have hoped. We were there for a month so did some cleaning ourselves. My husband spent about an hour working on vacumn which needed the beater cleaned. We also had to put a new belt on it and then it worked much better. Fridge is missing multiple shelves which was an issue since we were staying so long. Needs a bit of TLC

How looks better in person than in the photos ! House was clean but did have a few large roaches crawling on walls . Great location and had enough cookware for all of us . I would stay again but without the roaches ;)

Family Christmas 2019
Our family stayed for 2 weeks over the holiday. The location is excellent. It was nice to have a bathroom on each floor with 2 on the top floor. The house was adequately supplied, but the kitchen could use a better can opener and a larger trash can. It would have been nice to have zoned heating/cooling but we got along ok this time of year. Also, it would have been better to have a keypad door lock instead of 3 keys to pass around. In the garage the full size washer and dryer were nice, as well as the sand toys and grill. The curtain rods on the middle 2 bedrooms, the fridge ice maker cover, and the paint on one of the white kitchen cabinets could use a little TLC. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a fun family vacation.

Great vacation home
We had a great time celebrating my daughter 15th birthday there for a 3 day weekend. I loved that is was walking distant to the beach. I would love to go back. The only thing is the downstairs doesn't get as cold as the upstairs, it was humid. But we had plenty of room.

A home away from home at the beach.

We have been coming to the same place for about 10 years and love it!
However, quite a few of us are getting older and have trouble climbing stairs. 8 person sleeping beds are located on the first floor where there is no bathroom. It is hard to have to climb to the second floor and share the bathroom with another 4 people - especially at night. We understood two years ago that a bathroom is in the planning for the first floor. Hope it is done before next summer vacation. Even a small toilet would do. But thanks ,otherwise, for a nice vacation place.

Pretty but baths a problem.

The house was very nice but not as good for several young children. The local pool was very busy some of the time and too small for the number of people using it at times. We weren't told to bring dish towels and rags and had to go buy some. There were not enough cooking utensils when we cooked dinner for a large crowd. And it was difficult to have four bedrooms on the bottom two floors, including one for four children, and only one bath. It seemed that 3 baths might be enough but with two on the top floor it was difficult. We still had a great time.

We have been coming to this rental for many years and always found it very clean, comfortable with all amenities one could wish for. It is "a home away from home". The 6th bedroom downstairs is a great addition. This bottom floor , however could use another bathroom as it sleeps 8 people. The beach , a very short walk from the house and the short car ride to the town shops and fun is great.

Overall we had a great time. The house was very close to downtown Port A and the beach. We had no issues with loud neighbors, and everything inside was clean and put away. I would like to see a little bigger grill, since the heous is big enough to sleep 19. We had 10 people and had to grill in shifts due to the size of the grill. I can only imagine what it would have been like if 19 people were there! The hours to pickup your keys from the office was pretty slim. You have a window of 1 hour between 4 pm and 5 pm when the office closes to get your keys. If not they go into a mailbox. Hard to time that if you are working or traveling in town that day and want to ask questions on your arrival.

Bucket List Trip

I had stayed in Sunny Daze prior to our family trip. It was newer then and I loved the location; that remains perfect. The property itself, although cleaned for us, is in need of some repair and the fact that there is no bathroom on the ground floor was a real issue for those in the two bedrooms downstairs. In spite of those few inconveniences, we had a marvelous time. It was the first time in 11 years of coming to sandfest that I sweated out the weather. But one can never plan for perfect weather every year.

Four rooms have beds for two each, and the 5th bedroom has two bunk beds. These plus rollaway beds could sleep 15 people. There are three bathrooms, a garage, a grill and three TVs. Everything is spacious, clean and well equipped. Only the spacious and soft sofa has become worn out. However, the new owners are updating the house and are even building another bedroom and bath downstairs.
We love the place and plan to come for many more years.

Sunny daze review
We had a great time. Home was nice. Large enough for our needs. Well kept. Great location to walk to the beach. Enjoyed the community pool although it seemed small for the size community we were in. The couch was terribly falling apart and was very dirty under the cushion, yet comfortable. But it had a pice of wood under the cushion due to it being broken. There were cockroaches dead and alive several in master bedroom. There was a room under construction that we did not know about until we arrived but we we're not expecting it to even be there as if they were working on adding onto the home. Ice maker in the fridge did not make much ice at all. We bought and used ice from the store. It took a very longtime for the fridge to get cold.

Our overall stay was wonderful. There were some minor things that were broken upon our arrival, but over all things were good. Water filter/ice dispencer on the fridge was coming apart, some kitchen cabinets were leaning and not on correctly. The restaurant 2 houses walking distance away was amazing. I believe it was called the beach lodge, Great food, great view and easy to get to. Walk to have lunch then head to the beach.

The property was very nice, well furnished and clean. We couldn't find anything wrong w/the place like described in other reviews other than a few burned out light bulbs. The kitchen was well stocked w/plenty of cooking and eating utensils. Only downside was stickers in the yard. Highly recommended.

Great extended family vacation

We rented this house for a get-together with 3 generations. The kids loved the bunk room. I had brought a fan because of previous reviews that said this room was very hot in the summer. A new window unit has been put in and it was nice and cool even in the middle of July! The queen sized beds in all of the other bedrooms made them perfect for the 4 couples staying. It would have been nicer to have another bathroom for the 13 people staying there, but it was manageable. Note: there is no bathroom on the first level where the bunk room is. The management company graciously provided a new (still in box) pack- n-play for an infant in our party. We loved how close to the beach the house was. We have rented houses in Port A 3 other times and this was the closest access to the beach we have ever had. We loved hanging out in the roomy living area with the open kitchen and dining area. The kids usually ate in different shifts from the adults since there are only 8 seats at the table. There are bar stools where extra people could sit, or just spread out bech towels on the roomy covered porch and let them eat picnic style. The only complaint I would make is the lack of kitchen utensils and pans for a house this size. Fortunately, I had packed some plastic utensils (yuck!) and paper plates and cups just in case. Some large baking sheets and a griddle for bacon or pancakes would be nice additions, along with real silverware. Also, the charcoal grill was inadequate---very small and basic. If you are a party of 4, you'll do just fine. Overall, we enjoyed our 3 night stay there, though. It worked very well for our family.

I am so happy we held out for this house. It is great for family's with small childred. It is almost on the beach without paying twice as much. All of the childred that were with us were between 4 and 8. It was perfict of tham and the rest of us. The pool was about 50 feet from the house. I suggest this house to anyone. Great for Family Reunion
My husband and I did not stay at Sunny Daze as we had our own rental. We rented it for a family reunion, and it was close to perfect for the 10 people of various ages who stayed there. Nicely furnished and close to the beach. More toilet paper and coffee filters would have been appreciated.

I told Patrick I wanted a house on the beach. As in walk out the door and be on the beach. Not walk a few blocks or rent a golf cart to get to the beach. The hall toilet moves when uyou sit on it. The dishwasher needs to be replaced. The beds on the main level are ****. 6 rolls of toilet paper for 12 people is ridiculous for a five day stay. The garbage had not been removed outside so we had to pile our trash on top. I should have to call to tell you it hadent been taken out. Whoever cleaned it should have told you that. We were not given the pool combo at check in. Nor where we told where the pool was. A map of the location with the combo would have been great.Some of the and pans and baking sheets were rusted and need to be replaced. Other than these things. The house was great.

Great Location for Port A Beach & Pool Vacation

We arrived in Port A with a party of 11 and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Sunny Daze is very close to the beach, Beach Lounge restaurant and two houses over is the sidewalk to the pool. Renting a 6 person golf cart worked great for our crew as it can be driven on the beach and even into town via back streets (not on 361). The bunk beds were a little uncomfortable even for our teenagers, but got the job done. There was a strong pet urine odor in the Master when we arrived, but did not damper our good time even though no action was taken from the management company. The other 3 queen bedrooms were very nice. The refrigerator water and freezer ice were not working, but the tap water had a filter and tasted great. There was not a welcome letter to the house itself advising there is code to the pool or the password for the internet, but we learned the pool gate code through other community renters and found the internet password on the back of the box in the kitchen on the counter. Overall, people were very friendly and shopping was fun. We saw sea turtles and dolphins down by the jetty which was truly a thrill. We ate at the Beach Lounge, The Back Porch, the Brewery and also at Shana's Good Eats which were all good and reasonable. It was nice to have a beach day and also a pool day afterward. We will definitely be back :)!

Great house!
This house was great for 4 families. The downstairs bunk room was a nice spot to send the kids when the adults needed a little quiet time in the living room. Kitchen was nice and large with plenty of storage. Bedrooms were clean. It would have been nice to have a bathroom downstairs close to the bunk room, but the laundry room was a nice thing to have. There are quite a few stairs in the home, inside and out. We did not use the pool, but it was about 4 houses away. The house is at the end of a street that dead ends into a much older condo complex, so there was usually a good deal of traffic in front of the house. Not safe for kids to play in front yard alone. Overall, great house!

Sandfest 2012 Stay at Sunny Daze

Both bedrooms on the ground floor have missing vertical blind slats making it impossible to sleep past sunrise unless you put blankets over the french doors. A few more bath towels and kitchen hand towels would be helpful. Also there were no hot mats. in the kitchen. Just a suggestion: A half bath in the laundry room would make this house perfect. Overall a good experience.

Patrick turned a potentially negative situation into a very nice vacation experience for my group. There was a plumbing issue with the house we originally planned to use. Patrick had gone to the effort to learn about my group ahead of time, so he was prepared to immediately locate an alternate property for us that exceeded our expectations. From now on I will go straight to Patrick for my vacation rental needs, and I have also told everyone I know to do the same.

It felt as nice as home

Funny how the family just settled into this house and lived out of it like it was home. It was as good as the pictures - kids were thrilled when we drove up and unlocked the door - only thing that didn't work was - the basement bedroom was cold and far away - With our 7 member family - wish an upstairs bedroom or two - had two beds- no reason not to have all of us on the first/second floor - multiple full baths was wonderful. We brought along laptops and work - and the dining room gave us enough table-top with sunny windows - internet was reliable - We liked being on Port Anansas - enjoyed the Gulf drive - when we drove to Corpus Christie. We were there over Christmas - weather in the 60's. Nice direct walk to the beach through the two rentals situated between the house and the beach.

Great Stay!!!

This was defiantly a great place to stay. It had everything we needed. We were in all 5 families, total of 12 people, plenty of room and space for all and then some. Only keep in mind 1 room has bunk beds so keep the couples to 4 otherwise someone will be stuck with the bunk beds :). Walking distance to the beach, riding the ferry was fun, close to corpus, overall this was a great place. Looking forward to doing this again. Thank you!!

Great vacation spot

We stayed at the house for a month and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful. The beach access was great! A wonderful area to walk along the beach. The house had a "just like home" feeling. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, pots and pans. We only had to buy a few things. We had one problem with the refridgerator but maintenance was lightning fast to fix things. I would definately rent the house again. Port A Escapes was very professional and friendly. We had a great experience!
