Description

The HOA for Bay Tree Complex is renovating the community pool, which will be closed throughout April. The pool is expected to reopen in May 2026, weather permitting. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Introducing Dolphin Decks! Bay Tree Condos D78. While here you will see the large super tankers traverse the ship channel dwarfing everything along the way. This split level condo is located on the second floor, with no elevator access. Main level has your living area, kitchen and dining along with a wet-bar and the washer and dryer in the bathroom area. You access the bedrooms by a spiral staircase. We offer a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Fishing from our private pier is a must! Lounging around our Texas size pool and barbecuing with the family after a fun day of fishing and the beach is the perfect way to end your day. Up for some friendly competition? Check out our tennis or pickle ball on the new courts. Enjoy the sunrises/sunsets, bring your camera. AND, you can see pelicans, sea turtles, dolphins and other sea birds in the Private Marina. Close to restaurants, fishing, beach, and night life. No smoking, no pets. Parking for 2 vehicles. Boat slips for rent at an additional cost of $45.00 + tax per night. It is first come, first serve. Please request at the time of booking. Bay Tree requires a parking pass for your vehicle and wrist bands worn at the community facilities. These are issued upon check-in.

Great decks to sit on and watch the ships and boat activity in the channel

Very Nice Stay; Super location! Loved the Property Amenities

Overall, very pleased with our stay! The location was excellent- the view from the decks was so much fun. I LOVED watching all of the huge boats come into the Port and the Dolphins morning and evening. The private fishing dock was perfect- loved fishing from there and didnt need a license since it was oprivate property. The pool was clean and well-kept. The office employees were welcoming and helpful. The check in process was flawless, and the written communication in the condo was perfect. My only suggestions are regarding the condo itself. Heres what was good: Washer/Dryer worked great. AC unit and fans all worked great. Furniture better than average. However, with a little work, it could really be excellent. There are alot of water stains on the ceilings that could use fixing. Theyre really unpleasant to look at. Things like the washer/dryer door (it fell off a couple of times) and curtain rods that are ziptied up could really be replaced. Would be nice to have seen a deeper clean- it was clean enough overall but clearly doesnt get a deep clean. The decks need looked at- at surface level they are fine. But you can see the nails pulling out which, with enough weight on them, eventually it could give and could be a serious safety hazard. The deck was not shaky and I felt safe on it by myself- but just looking at the future, it really should be fixed and reinforced. Overall happy- but with a little investment of time and money, it could be really fabulous.

Great Stay!!

We so enjoyed our two stays at Dolphin Decks! Loved the views and the close proximity to the beach and the town! The beds and sofas were comfortable, and the kitchen had most things needed to prepare meals in. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the property management team--Niki and Angel--provided exemplary service, always with smile!

Decieved about fishieing pier, its a lighted dock not pier.

I orginally wanted to rent at Channelview condos because of the fishing pier but then was told they do not have balconies, but Bay Tree has both a pier and balconies. Bay Tree dock is not a pier even though it has lights. I was very disappointed and checked out after the first night. My firend that was coming down and was going to split costs said NOPE as soon as I told him about the "pier" and I now had to pay for both nights on my own although I left immediately after the first night.

Lovely views, great location

Spent a great long weekend here. Was lovely to watch the boats and barges from the porches, especially because we often saw dolphins playing in the waves. Good communication from the rental company. Wish there had been kid-friendly dishes (only glass/ceramic), but not a big deal. Be prepared for a spiral staircase. The condo is on our list to hopefully return for a future trip!

Happy Days are Here Again !! ��

We have vacationed in Port A and have stayed at Bay Tree for many years now. If you’re looking for spacious room, this may not be the place for you. But, if your looking for cozy, quiet, scenic, with a will maintained property and nice full size relaxing pool, this should be for you. It’s tucked away from all the traffic but you can easily walk to near by restaurants, club, or fishing jetty’s. Or rent a golf cart and take a ride. We have always enjoyed the water view condos. Watch the boats, dolphins , sunrise or sunset enjoying coffee or a cold bev. Sitting out on the deck. Always Happy to go and hate to leave.

Great Stay

We had a great stay. Port A Escapes was easy to work with and great communication. Only complaint was the luck warm water and stairs going upstairs. Enjoyed the decks and watching the ships and dolphins daily.

Great View

Excellent and comfortable place to stay with great view and nice clean pool. The spiral staircase could be a problem for older or larger people. At the bottom of the stair case there is a raised floor that should be marked for safety.

Best View On The Island!

Loved the condo! We go to Port A often and this is our favorite rental! It sit directly in front of the channel. You can see the dolphins/porpoises and boats passing by in the bay! Well decorated and furnished. Such a great place.
