This fabulous 2 bedroom 2 bath condo is spacious and offers everything you will need for a perfect weekend. Sit and enjoy a glass of wine while looking out at the Gulf of Mexico and University of Texas Marina. This condo is within walking distance to many of the towns restaurants and bars and has a private fishing pier for you to enjoy. This unit has elevator access. Sorry, no smoking, no pets. Parking for 2 cars with required parking permit. Boat parking available, for an additional $20 per night + tax. Please request when booking.

Fantastic Location for a break from the beach!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The best part is the locatio--close to everything in Port Aransas, but also private and quiet and away from the hub-bub of the beach. We loved the view of the channel from the living room looking straight out onto a great fishing dock. Watching the boats coming and going was an added bonus as well as watching dolphins!

Great rental - will stay again
This property was great - it looked exactly like the pictures and was clean. A bonus addition is access to the properties dock! Kitchen was well equipped and the rental had everything you might think of. The one thing I would change is the fact there is no elevator (which is stated in the property description) but we knew that going in to it and still really enjoyed our stay! I would definitely stay here again!

The condo was beautiful and spacious. The balcony had the best view of Port A. Sitting outside whether by the pool, cooking, or fishing on private peer, you really cannot ask for a better weekend. The down side is the stairs.

50/50 Family Trip
My family and I were very excited about the condo when booked because we had a 13 year old and 9 month old to keep entertained. Thus choosing a place was contingent on finding amenities suited for them. A heated pool was extremely necessary for us and our young one and at no point was the pool usable due to how cold it was. I reached out to the booking manager and although the responded promptly nothing was resolved and they refused to offer some form of compensation. They stated that pool was 85 degrees on Friday and the morning of Saturday reset to 92 degrees. We checked multiple times and even around 5pm the pool was below 85 degrees the whole time. Aside from the pool issue the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the decor outdated. You will also find small fruit flies/ bugs around the kitchen and living room area. Had it not been for the private pier and kind people we met I would have given this condo a one star. There are many other locations with similar amenities since the pool did not work anyways that you can reserve for a fraction of the price.

Love this place for Harvest Moon
We have rented this unit a few times for this regatta and you can see the boats coming in the channel. We keep renting it because of the view and everything is as pictured.

Fantastic Fishing Vacation
From check-in to check-out, all went smoothly. Our unit was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We loved it. Our vacation was planned primarily for fishing and this property did not disappoint. The lighted fishing was fantastic and we caught fish every night. The pool, pier and grounds were kept clean at all times. Our children had a blast so we are planning a return visit next year.

This room needs a up date.
This is Johnny Hay , our stay at channel view was great . We have stayed there this year 5 times this year a different room each time . This room was ok but very old school as far as up dated restrooms and showers . The garage disposal didn’t work nor did the ice maker. This room definitely needs to be up dated . The fishing was awesome , and everyone was friendly we love channel view and will be back soon .

Almost perfect..
Love the condo and would stay again. Issues with coffee pot and perhaps just not knowing how to work, but it leaked water on cabinet while using so might need to be checked and garbage disposal did not work.

Gorgeous and Captivating
The view of the channel and all of the boats was amazing. It became the hilight of the family activities and entertainment. Thank goodness we had binoculars to see the names and flags. Furniture not very comfortable but was good condition and clean.

Coast Getaway
The Gatecode provided did not work since the start of to our stay. Had to call the afterhour company to get new code.
Trash dumpsters were far away from property and no cooking spices were provided. Most rental units we have stayed in have the basic spices provided.

Our apologies for the change in the gate code. It is our policy to not provide spices so as to not risk contamination but we understand the necessity. The dumpster for the condominium complex has to be in an area where a large truck can access it and not hit other vehicles. We hope you will return soon!

Almost perfect..
Coffee pot on pod side seemed blocked so could not use. No dishwasher soap provided and only one tiny round soap in bathroom. Not able to use TV in living room seemed stuck on one channel. Perhaps we just did not know how to operate. TVs in bedrooms worked great.

We’ve stayed at the Channelview Condominiums several times over the years for the Harvest Moon Regatta. It’s a great place where the condos have always been as pictured and fully stocked as stated in the description. The view is great for watching the boats coming in from the race.

Pros: Beautiful view of the channel. My 80 year parents sat by the window the whole time and watched the boats and oil rigs come through.

Port A Escapes was very prompt when we called because we couldn’t get into the door. There was no door plate so you have to push the door in while turning the knob at the same time in order for the lock to disengage. Condo was clean. Trash bags, sponges, dishwasher tablets were left to use. Easy access to the condo with text messages sent to your phone for check in and check out.

Cons: The water in the front bathroom shower doesn’t drain so you’re standing in water the whole time you’re having a shower. You have to hold down the toaster handle the whole time or the handle pops back up.
The fees added onto the bill.

My Mother’s Day getaway
We really love the place we stay at it felt nice and welcoming the only thing wrong was that we only had 2 pans an 18inch and 14 inch pan didn’t have other pans to cook and two small pots and also 3 large plates we had to cook and wash on the pans and cook again just have our food ready and only one was an non stick pan and also there was no ice nor had ice trays to make ice other than that we love the stay but had to work around those issues

We spent two months in this rental and enjoyed out stay. The view out of our window of the U of Texas Marine Science Center marina and the shipping channel are wonderful. We especially enjoyed the outdoor pool and the lighted fishing pier. The property management company is great. Any problem or issue is addressed in a very timely manner.

Channelview Condominiums
I love love love this place. If you love to fish at all hours of the day or night and be steps away from your bed, this is the place to stay. This is my third visit to this property and I enjoyed myself just as much as the first time I was here. Such a beautiful view of the channel from the pool. So relaxing and comfortable. We like to come in April and October because there are fewer people on the pier at night but I’m sure it’s nice during hi season also.
This time, there were a lot of owners at the property bc of an hoa meeting. I think next year I will try and schedule a week when they are not there. They were nice but it made things a little more stressful. Not the managements fault. I just didn’t know the meeting would be happening when I scheduled my stay. I stayed in 217. So nicely decorated and very comfortable. I really appreciate having a washer/dryer at my disposal. Patty ( I think her name is Patty) is always helpful and sweet. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

Spacious Condo close to pier/pool
What a great location! Right downtown close to shops/food and to be able to fish just steps off the condo as well as swim. I recommend this condo! We have stayed here twice already and planning on a return again soon.

Very happy with this rental
We rented this on short notice and were a little worried it would be cramped, but it worked out great for me, my wife and our three kids. Living room is spacious. Very nice kitchen and appliances. You do have to walk a couple flights of stairs but the parking garage is right under the building. Only issue we ran into was the door code resetting on the second day, but the mgt company was responsive and solved it within a few minutes. Good location, you can walk to get ice cream, doughnuts, or coffee if you like.

Dose of the Coast
When we vacation to the coast, we look to check a few "box's" on our list:

*LOCATION!!!
*Clean/Modern Room(Momma's request - Men/Boys can tough it out)
*Pool on site
*Fishing Pier in a GOOD LOCATION(off a main channel or gut; kids have minimal patience to catch fish so I like to give them the best opportunity to catch!)
*Access/Drive-time to beach

When vacationing to the coast - We primarily focus on the above items. The rest is hit or miss but for the most part, I'd have to say this stay was one of my favorites by far. We paired it with the sun rays, some blue skies, and pretty clean looking beach water to made a great escape before the summer rush hits! I definitely plan to stay again in the future sometime.

We have been staying here for almost 20 years and we love it. Our only complaint would be that the floors were very very dirty. Our feet were black if we were barefooted in the condo. House keeping could improve in that category.

Wonderful stay at Channel View Condos
We really loved our stay at Channel View while in Port A. The condo was very nicely decorated and very clean. The pool and grounds were well kept and the fishing pier was large and very well built. The location to the beach and restaurants were within walking distance. We will always book our stay at Channel view every time we visit the island.

I had another great stay in the nicely restored condo. Love how it's off the beaten pass and still close to beach, grocery store, restaurants and boat charters. Private fishing pier is awesome. Just a little too much bug spray vapors in the condo.

Great Getaway!
We haven’t been to CV since Harvey. They made a lot of great renovations. I love the gate to keep people out that shouldn’t be there. I love the wristbands, however, I saw a lot of low life’s that must have been let in by a guest. Not one wristband on. They need security to ensure everyone is wearing one, if not boot them out.

Perfect spot to fish and convenient to local restaurants & beach.
Everything was great. We choose to stay here even though all 5 of us were in the same room with one bathroom because it is on the channel with a dock for fishing. The beds were comfortable and the condo was nicely renovated. It is a great spot! My 16 and 20 year old daughters wished there was a full length mirror somewhere ��. Would definitely stay here again.

Fall fishing and time with the grandkids
We found everything to be really nice and perfect for us except a few things missing in the kitchen for cooking purposes. During Covid 19 we ate almost every meal in our room. TV s worked great. 2 senior adults and a 5 and 8 year old. Sleeping arrangements were great. Climbing the stairs was a challenge.

Great weekend!
The condo was comfortable, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed watching ships come and go from our large living room window or the pier. It was quiet on the weekend despite the obvious construction during the week. Cable was not working and was difficult to get fixed. Despite this we will go back. We loved it.

Family Fishing Trip Weekend
The rental part of our stay was easy. Rooms were nice and clean. Our problem was with the A/C unit which we reported and a service tech came to repair. Next day we had the same issue with the condo not cooling. We had other things scheduled that we didn't bother with it anymore. The pier was clean but the weather was crazy! Unfortunately the channel in front of the pier was dredged just a few days before which caused us to get caught a lot and we lost a lot of tackle because of it. We still had a lot of fun and always have had in the past. Still the A/C system needs to be looked into. Thanks, Art

Family vacation
Everything was wonderful as always. We have stayed here about for times and always enjoy it. The only thing about this last stay was that when we were checking out the maintenance worker put a sign on elevator stating it was under maintenace yet allowed house keeping to load their linens while we had to go up and down stairs to load our cars. Very upset about that especially since it was done during check out time.

Fourth time we have stayed at Channelview, twice in 211 and twice in 105. 105 stay is due to the elevator to 105. All four stays have been very enjoyable. Enjoyed the spacious rooms in this condo. Plenty of natural light and having a washer and dryer is a must have for fishermen.
Very quiet and no problems with the internet access.
Parking is under the condos so you stay dry no matter what.

Perfect Vacation Rental!
This Place was perfect for our 2 families. There was plenty of room and everything we needed for all of us. We enjoyed the view from the room, how close it was to the beach, and the pool and fishing off the pier. The First night we were there, we saw a few sea turtles right outside the building next to the pier. And it was so much fun watching the dolphins every night swim around all the fishing poles off the pier as well. The place was well stocked with all the necessities and close to everything. Port A Escapes was helpful and friendly! The check-in and check out process was simple and easy. Everyone had a blast and we plan on staying again. We would highly recommend this place to anyone!!

The only complaint we have was that the condo wasn't very clean when we got there. We had to sweep up broken pieces of green glass, there were crumbs on kitchen counters, long dark hairs all over the floor in back bathroom, and the shower has mold in corner by door.

I was so happy with this condo & the location. I dont think it could have gotten any better actually. Right in town near all the restaurants & fishing boats. Did not have to go over to the public pier to fish at all because we had our own private pier there that only guests at Channelview had access to. The residents that live there year round were also so friendly to us. Cant wait to go back in the summer with all the family. Port A Escapes makes it so easy on you. Will not use anyone else in the future. Also forgot a entire bag of laundry at the condo & they are sending it back to me.

We loved our condo at Chanelview.beautiful views, well appointed, and very comfortable. Port A Escadpes made our stay so easy. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Great Affordable Family Getaway
This condo was perfect for our family of adults and children both. The rooms were spacious. the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied. the view of the canal and the marina was beautiful and exciting when the big tankers came in from out to sea the children and the grown boys loved this. The access to the private pier was great for the fishermen in our family. The pool was a nice escape from the beach and ocean water. We enjoyed our stay very much! We will be using Port A Escapes again and will recommend it to friends and family. The only problem we had was the construction worker hammering and running hand tools before 7 am on Sunday morning. We weren't the only quests complaining.

We loved the condo ! It needed some hangers in the closets to hang up the clothes in our suitcases , though, and the wifi password given on the paper wasn't the right one. We called the front desk and they told us the code.

Port A Memorial Day weekend 2015
Family vacation. Good location. Very small elevator. No outside balcony. Nice windows in living area. Good access to private fishing pier. Gate code didn't work. Outdoor grills and tables. Overall nice unit and fun to stay on the channel and watch boats, seagulls, dolphins, etc. Really close to restaurants and the piers. Recommend driving down to Mustang Island for beach as local beach is not nearly as nice.

Condos on the Channel
Our stay in Port A was mainly meant as a little fishing trip, and I have to say that these condos were well worth it. The rooms themselves were great and the private pier is absolutely awesome! Tip: head out there between 12am-4am and enjoy catching tons of topsail gaff (big sea catfish!)
