On the pond and two doors from the community pool, Cherry on Top offers 4 bedrooms with plenty of sleeping options: the party room has two bunk beds and a hide-a-bed sleeping 6 comfortably; the dual master bedrooms both have a private bath and king sized bed; and the family bedroom has a full over queen bunk bed, perfect for three. There’s even a hide-a-bed in the living room. There is a full bath on the main floor and a half bath under the house in the party area. A house on stilts gives you the perfect place to park or get together, and this Cherry comes complete with a bar, half bath and a small PRIVATE POOL. TVs in every room and a smart TV in the living room if you want to bring your Netflix log in. Ocean Village's Cherry on Top is a great place to make new memories. No garage access.
Larger family group? Need more room?! There’s Money in the Banana Stand is right next door and in the primo poolside location! There's Money in the Banana Stand is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom that offers 2 king master suites that include private baths. One bunk room with 2 bunks that sleeps 4. "Cherry On Top" is a premier vacation rental property provided by Port A Escapes, professionally managed to ensure that everything is expertly handled before your arrival, and includes:

- Professional cleaning to the highest standards
- Pre-arrival inspection performed by one of our team members
- Clean towels and linens. (all our properties are supplied with one set of sheets for all beds. Bath towels are supplied per number of people the house sleeps. We do not provide beach towels)
- A well-equipped kitchen. (dishes, silverware, pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave and large appliances). Note that food products such as spices or seasoning are not provided for safety reasons.
- These starter supplies are provided in the property as a convenience until you can go shopping: hand/bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge.

This house was clean and beautiful. The floors needs to be fixed as some of the wood was coming up and getting stuck on our shoes and we were trying not to cut ourselves. The pool was not very clean. But it was a perfect time. Thank you

Our family of 19 stayed at Cherry on Top and There’s Money in the Banana Stand for 4 nights in July. The ability to park under the house was a bonus that allowed us to congregate and grill in a shaded area. We spent about half of the day at the beach and the rest at the Cherry pool. The grandkids loved it! The dryer was out of service at Cherry but we shared the dryer at Banana Stand when needed. The AC worked great in both units, the beds were comfortable, check in and checkout was smooth. This was the best setup we have stayed in at PA so far and Port A Escapes provided great service.

Great for a fun filled family vacation!
People thought we were crazy because we were driving right towards a hurricane when many others were going further inland, but we had been planning this trip for almost a year so we were in it to win it! We looked like the Beverly Hill Billies with an suv and a truck full of 7 kids, five adults, 3 dogs, and a partridge in a pear tree. We were on the ferry when we got the call that there was to be a mandatory evacuation so we would have to cancel our stay and get a refund. We asked if we could at least stay one night since we came all that way and the evacuation order technically wasn’t until the next day, which they agreed. Cut to we finally get to the house and it is everything we had imagined it to be and more! The kids went straight for the pool as we unloaded. Ample rooms and sleep space with four bedrooms, 2 king and two bunk. The kids loved the party room which had two bunks and a sleeper sofa as well as an additional sleeper sofa for the living room. The kitchen was fully equipped with a keurig and a regular coffee pot plus all the other bells and whistles. One of the best parts was the shuffle board which was a huge hit among adults and kiddos alike. Downstairs we had our own private pool that backed up to the fishing pond, one of the main reasons why we picked this particular home. There is a half bath downstairs and a nice kitchenette with a cool little window for easy access. We used the charcoal grill pretty much every night and had basically everything we needed. With all that being said, of course we didn’t want to just stay one night and go home, so I had an idea. What if we went inland for the night to wait out the storm and come back for the rest of our trip, would that be ok? The property management said yes and even gave us an extra day! So that’s what we did and it was so worth it! Only negative was the dryer was out of order but we just hang dried out clothes and it was fine. Overall we would stay again! Great service and gr

Great time at Cherry on top!
We had a great time! Our yearly trip to Port A was amazing. The place was spotless and so pretty, the private pool was a great plus for our family of 10, 4 rooms 3 baths upstairs (2 master bedrooms) and the half bathroom next to the pool was very useful. Amazing location near the beach., convenience stores and restaurants. We couldn’t ask for more! Can’t wait to go back!!

Two Families and a Dog on a Spring Break Beach Getaway
Overall this pink beach house was a good place for our two families of four to stay. We were able to bring our 70 lb. dog with us. It was clean and beds were comfortable. The water was off when we arrived but the host promptly sent maintenance to turn it on. The first morning we discovered the dryer was broken and maintenance came back out but unfortunately it wasn’t repaired or replaced while we were there. It also was not walking distance to the beach. It’s very close but there’s only private access where it’s located, so you need to drive a car or golf cart 3 very large blocks and down 1A street to get to the beach. The pool was just the right size but too cold for our mid March Spring Break trip to use. The shuffleboard and chalkboard were great for the kids. The fridge was very cold and the additional downstairs fridge was very convenient. We were very close to Dominoes Pizza drive thru and also enjoyed dining at Seafood & Spaghetti Works. We stayed an extra day after texting the host to arrange it. We would’ve liked to have been able to walk to the beach but no places could be found since we started looking only two months out and needed a place that accepts large dogs. We would have rented the golf cart if we had to do it all over again. I would recommend to other families with lots of kids and big dogs that have to travel with their emotional support humans.

Great family fun close to the beach
We frequent Port A at least 4 times a year and love it so much. We have become very familiar with the areas that we do and don't like. We love the Ocean Village neighborhood. It's so close to the beach (but golf cart or vehicle are suggested). The house was nicely appointed with everything we needed and the pool was perfect with the bathroom and refrigerator downstairs. It is a little confusing of whose check-in instructions you follow when renting this house but we figured it out. We'd go back!

Nice house with private pool. Room for everyone. Great covered area where the whole family can set up chairs and visit with a nice breeze. No direct access to the beach so a beach permit for your vehicle or cart will be needed. Can’t wait till the next time.

Great End of Summer Getaway
We came to sneak in another weekend before summer ending. It was my family, parents and brother's family. Plenty of room for all 9 of us. Still had room for others. House was clean and had everything we needed. The pool and outdoors was a huge hit with the kids and we enjoyed the evenings outside. We have stayed in Ocean Village twice and loved it. We will be coming back.

This home was clean, perfect size for our family and in a great location. We really enjoyed the pool. It was convenient to have a refrigerator and bathroom downstairs by the pool. Check in and check out were super easy. We would stay here again.

Great beach house, great location & pool!
Great rental. Perfect spot with no back neighbors, view of the pond, and private pool! The only issues we had was the A/C and TVs. The back pink room was HOT and you couldn’t adjust the fan to go any higher. We could not get the TVs to work, even after following the detailed instructions in the handbook.

Great Vacation
Great place to stay and pet friendly. Very convenient to restaurants and the beach. There was a shuffle board table in the home which kept us occupied when the weather didn't cooperate.

Awesome Little Getaway

Can you say AMAZING!!!!
Cherry is a great house for a family, friends or a girls get away! The large table is great for dining, a work station and/or cards. The pool area is perfect for kids and adults. Plenty of seating around the pool, a Baja ledge in the pool, a bathroom, a bar, grill, picnic tables, shower and more!! There is always something to do in town, at the beach or at the house. We also rented the golf cart which was great to get to the beach which is just down the street :) Port A is a great place to vacation and this house made it perfect.

It was good! Always enjoy working with Port A Escapes. It was nice to have the owner reach out & offer her golf cart for rent. Location was good. Cleaning was the only concern & the BBQ put is a fire hazard so I recommend not plan on using it or request confirmation that it was cleaned.

Great House!
We stayed here on a whim and it was very enjoyable! The house was kept up very well and had everything we needed. My only complaints would be that there were no closets, and that the TV was very difficult to operate (there are two sets of instructions in the unit) and the internet kept going out which would mess up the TV. Since we weren't spending much time watching TV, it wasn't a huge problem...just frustrating to the kids! The pool and downstairs bar set up are great and very convenient. As is the downstairs half bath! Overall a great place, and we would definitely return.

Great home! Plenty of space for our large family. The only issues we had were that we found a few roaches, someone came to clean the pool and made us all get out for 30 mins (probably should have been done early in the AM or in between rentals), and the AC unit did not adequately cool the home (especially at night).

Beautiful property
Well maintained property that fit our party of 9 perfectly. The only issue we had involved small pots and pans as we like to make large meals for the family and having small cookware made this difficult. We will definitely be staying here again but will be better prepared next time.

The Cherry on Top is a great house to stay in! Super cute and clean, great pool, close to town! The only thing that we thought needed to change is just some extra lighting outside by the pool! Everything else is great!!

An Amazing Girls Trip To Be Remembered
A group of ladies rented Cherry on Top and There's Money in the Banana Stand together and let me tell you, it was the best experience ever. My rental was Cherry on Top. The exterior is so fun, perfect for entertaining with ample seating, BBQ area, beautiful furniture and its own private pool! The pool was the perfect temperature and had a shallow area for lounging. Perfect after a day at the beach. These two units are also connected to the community pool which we did take advantage of as well. Inside, the decor is bright and sunny with every amenity you could imagine. Stocked kitchen, flat screen TVs in every bedroom, TWO master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and balconies, a bunk room that seemed to be able to sleep at least 8 people if I am counting right. Every detail is paid attention to. The linens, artwork, lighting fixtures - these units hit every single mark. Very clean and well maintained. Location wise, very close to the beach and shopping. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, wish I was there right now!

Beautiful, clean and fun!
This property is beautiful and well thought out for a large family vacation. The decor is vibrant and colorful. There are numerous little details that make it perfect if you have a large group - plenty of seating, a downstairs bar area with an additional refrigerator by the two pools available for this property (one small private one that can be heated) and the larger community pool right next door), a shuffleboard table in the common/living room, and a beautiful lagoon/pond with some catch-and-release fishing action for the kids. We loved it and will book Cherry on Top for our next Port A trip.

We had a wonderful time at our rental. It met all our needs and was clean and comfortable. We loved having our own pool! The only negatives were that we saw a couple bugs and we had some difficulty with the TVs. Overall it was a great place and we would definitely return.

Amazing house
We had such a great time at the house. The pool backs up to the lake area and gives a perfect amount of privacy. The bar area down stairs is super cute, the beds we comfortable and we loved the open living area. Overall an amazing experience.

Sand fest fun!
We had a great time and the house was perfect along with the little pool. The only came complaint was loud unruly neighbors but that had nothing to do with the house. The house was super clean and nice...convenient for a beach stay.

Cool and relaxing
Overall it was fantastic real easy check in process not far from beach , real nice service the one thing I will say is the wifi is terrible although the fun we had at this house kind of made up for it. None the less better wifi would be nice especially for those later night when it's sleep time and you just want to put a movie on for the kids.

Brand new property
The property is/was brand new with new appliances and TV's throughout the house. Lots of beds and very clean.
Some of the issues I experienced were that they were in the midst of construction on both sides of the property. They started early and would leave their equipment and tools in the driveway. They also attached their hoses and un-did ours. One job site played country music and the other was Tejano music, but both started earlier than I would have liked. When I spoke with management company I was told that they can start construction at 6am and there was nothing they could do about it.
The other issue we experienced was that the property advertised a half bath downstairs and a bar downstairs. When we got there they were both locked. I later convinced the rental folks to give us a key and both rooms were unfinished; i.e. no sink or toilet downstairs as advertised and the bar was just an empty room. I'm sure these issues will be resolved in the near future and both of those rooms will be perfect but they weren't done as of 6/26/16.
The last thing I'll mention is that there was a video camera looking down on the pool which I found to be a little creepy.
As I started with, the property is beautiful and very new and we enjoyed our stay overall.
