- Cable and Wi-Fi service in Port Aransas can be unreliable due to the unique coastal environment in which we live. We appreciate your understanding that these services are beyond our control. No discounts or refunds will be given for service disruptions.

- This is a PET-FRIENDLY RENTAL. Pet fees are an additional $20.00+tax, per pet, per night. A 3 pet maximum is allowed. Additionally, a pet-cleaning fee is also charged, which is $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days, and $100 for stays of 30 or more days.

Great spot for a quick getaway
The cottage is in a great location within walking distance to the beach. It's not fancy, but it was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a few nights away. The fenced-in yard was great for our dog, and we really enjoyed grilling on the deck and sitting on the screened-in porch in the evenings.

Second stay in the unit
Having to go and pickup 3 keys in 2024 seems antiquated. Port A Escapes employees were friendly and informative. We added an extra night when they reached out about the unit being available. The unit itself needs a little TLC- most noticeable was the kitchen utensils (3 knives total!?) and the bed itself. Great location and the fenced in backyard is why we book!

TS202 Rental experience
The house was apx 600 sq ft inc bedroom and loads of outdoor space. Cons 1.the grass needed to be mowed making it hard to do poop patrol 2. There were ants in the kitchen/living room. 3. The a/c was not functioning fully requiring the use of portable a/c units and "hot spots" in the house. Pros - 1. Pet could join us. 2. Location close to food, beach and activities. 3. Well supplied with dishes, toiletries etc. 4. Property management was responsive and very friendly.

Peaceful Getaway
This house is so cute! The screened in porch and the yard were also favorites for us. It’s so close to the beach and private, there also was no noise in the neighborhood so it was very peaceful.

We loved the location and the property overall. We have a dog, so it was a great place to have a pet, but still need to be mindful of coyotes. The screened-in porch with TV and the living room are very comfortable. A little updating for the grill and the microwave would be a great asset. It was very comfortable for a couple with a pet, and the location was close to the beach and restaurants and shops.

Great Coastal Escape

Port Aransas Escapes
We were not able to stay during our time, but the property management team is absolutely the kindest people. We had two instances that made us not be able to make it and they were so accommodating and understanding. I would give them at 10/10 for their attentiveness to us and their empathy!!! We were so bummed we could not make it because this place was perfect for us and our dogs. I highly highly recommend this place to anyone heading down to Port A. We will be making the trip next summer.

Excellent dog friendly stay!
Between my wife and i and two dogs this was an excellent rental. We had everything we needed and had nice porches to sit out on. The dogs and I would sit out on the front porch and people watch. It rained two days and we enjoyed sitting out on the covered porch. I just loved the outdoor shower as we could let the dogs just get filthy at the beach, having fun, and we all could come back and wash the beach off everyone. Fantastic! Will definitely put this on our rent again list.

Love This House!
2nd time we've stayed at this house and it is perfect. Fenced yard for dogs, washer/dryer, OUTDOOR SHOWER, super clean and close to everything with parking for 2 cars at least. We'll likely stay here every time we come to Port A.

Charming and convenient
First time guests at Le Chateau and greatly enjoyed our 9 day stay. Location in old town, but on a quiet street surrounded by great neighborhoods, easy access to everything, and 2 min to the beach by golf cart. Cottage was bright and perfect for 2 persons, as was the fenced yard and outdoor shower for our doggies. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could think of for our longer stay, (except BBQ utensils). Overall, we loved this place and our stay in Port A, and look forward to becoming one of its many repeat customers.

Convenient & Pet Friendly
Lovely cottage styled vacation home. Comfortable and in a nice location. Walking distance to beach. The only issues we had were flying ants in our bedroom and no laundry room. The outdoor shower was handy and if there weren't so many mosquitos we would have hung out in the backyard or side porch.

Quiet location, with a secure yard for small dogs
We enjoyed our 4-night stay at this cottage last week. We were a little concerned after viewing some recent reviews that had been posted since we booked it, but we had no problems.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood, in a good location, within easy walking distance (a half-mile) of the beach and many restaurants.

One reason we booked this cottage was for our small dogs to be safe on their off-leash excursions into the backyard, and it was perfect in that respect. The fence is secure, provides privacy, and there are no gaps that the dogs could slip through or under. I give it an A+ for dog security. The outdoor shower has a handheld shower head that makes washing the sand and salt water off the dogs a pleasure.

In terms of the key/security situation that a previous reviewer mentioned, we did not experience any issue. Two keys were provided: one for the gate where you access the backyard from the driveway, and a separate key to get into the house.

The cottage was clean. The decor is fresh and cute. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning works well and is very quiet. Good water pressure in the shower. The TVs have Roku built in so you can use Netflix or other streaming services. The wifi was good.

I would stay at this cottage again, we enjoyed it!

Great little house with a wonderful screened in porch and lovely yard. Easy walk to the beach. We were fortunate to meet the owner, Doris, who was staying in the adjacent rental. Old Town Treasure
My family has stayed at the "Le Chateau" property before. We loved it then, so we booked it again, and we're glad we did. It has become our favorite rental property in PA.

We were pleasantly surprised with some changes to the property since our last visit. When we last visited, the property had a garage that appeared to be a storage area for the property owner. That has now been converted into another rental, called "La Petite Chateau." (It's all on the same lot, separated by a privacy fence in the back yard.) My wife an I were thrilled to see this. We will likely be back soon, renting both cottages - one for us and the other our high-school aged teens. The fenced yard is perfect for our dogs, and the location is great, featuring easy access to the town and a 10 minute walk down to the beach.

Great place for dogs and people
We brought our dogs down for a couple of days at the beach and found Le Chateau. It fit our needs perfectly. The yard and porches were very dog secure, our beagle checked it. The outdoor shower was very useful for getting sandy feet and dogs rinsed off. There was a nice breeze so we didn't have mosquito issues but there is also a screened porch.
The house is about a two minute drive to the beach and is located in a neighborhood with little traffic so it was really quiet. We will definitely try to stay here for future trips.

Birthday Getaway 2018
We usually stay in a beachfront condo when we visit Port A, but this time we wanted to bring our Golden Retriever, so I looked for a small, affordable home with a backyard. “Le Chateau” immediately caught my eye! The pictures were so cute, and I loved the backyard. When my daughter and I arrived we were immediately struck by how quaint and honey the hone was/is. Although it is very small and ended up not having a washing machine/dryer or dishwasher, the hone was very welcoming and convenient to everything. If you are looking for a “home away from home”, this place is like a hidden treasure. Suggest more towels, electric outlets and smaller pots/pans and eating bowls.

Great location and allows dogs
We wanted a house near the beach that allowed our dogs and had a good fenced in yard. Perfect place and even had an outdoor shower and screened in porch and was decorated so cute. I loved the cabinets in the bathroom to put all my makeup and toiletries. Also had lots of drawers in the bedroom.

Cute cottage, comfortable screened in porch
We really enjoyed our stay at this little one bedroom cottage.
The screened in porch was pleasant. There is a large yard that we did take advantage of.
The location was a few blocks from both town and the beaches.
There was not a lot of room but furnishings were adequate.

Beach Stay
1 bedroom cottage just a few blocks from the beach. Wonderful service by both owner and rental agency (PortA Escapes). Pet friendly a huge positive!!!!! We have found our new place in Port A.

Our stay at Le Chateau 2018
We had a wonderful time at Le Chateau. I definitely recommend this place. It is beautifully decorated with a wonderful private backyard. The owner was great to work with. We needed heat on one of the days and we didn’t know how to turn it on. Not only did they send someone over immediately but the owner brought over a loaf of freshly baked bread hot from the oven for our trouble. So thoughtful!
It’s very sobering to see evidence of the hurricane damage and the tremendous effort expended to get their community back. Port A strong!

Cozy home minutes from beach
This home was perfect for our family. We especially loved the screened in patio. It was about a 5 drive to the beach and close to places to eat and the Dollar General. We look forward to coming back again.

Precious cabin in Port A
This little cabin in Port A is a haven sroounded by the memories of a very disastrous storm. But from the comfortable bed to the cozy furniture and most importantly the perfect screened in porch with constant soft breezes, you almost forget what happened, not too long ago.. we were very happy to have found such a nice place to spend a couple of days.

A Small Place in Paridise
Cozy comfortable house with everything you need. Everything was clean, fresh and ready to go. Nice quiet neighborhood. Close to anything you want to do... Grocery Store, Restaurants and the Beach.

Our Weekend Getaway
We had a very good experience staying here. The decorations all over the house added a nice beach feel and made the house feel welcoming. Everything was clean, and there were plenty of amenities. The bedroom is big and the bed is extremely comfortable. The bathroom is easy to access from two different doors. We appreciated finding plenty of pots,pans, eating, and drinking utensils. The backyard is a pretty good size and the screen patio came in handy during the night time when mosquitoes are out. I would recommend this beach house to anyone. Next time we vacation here, we will definitely book this house again!

Charming and cozy cottage so close to everything!
What a gem to find! My husband and I took our two boys down for a few days and had an incredible stay here. Starting with the nice welcome basket we enjoyed during our stay. The car ride was less than 5 minutes to the beach and to the numerous restaurants and shops PA has to offer. The outside shower, screened in porch and hammock in the private backyard were more than we could ask for after a long day of activities. We are planning to return again next month!!!

Wonderful Stay
This cottage was the perfect rental for our family vacation. Us and our pups enjoyed everything about the house. The yard was perfect for the pups to play and us lay around and enjoy. We got good use out of the hammock too! The outdoor shower was convenient when coming back from the beach. We were very appreciative when the owner came by and let us have access to the washer/dryer. Beach towels stack up after a week at the beach.
The screened-in patio was perfect to watch the July 4th fireworks. Inside had all the amenities needed. The location was great as well, close to the beach and restaurants. We look forward to staying here in the future.

Perfect Little Cottage
This cottage is beautiful. The screened-in porch is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee! They had a basket of snacks waiting for us, which was a nice touch! Loved our stay. The only downside is that the beach is not walking distance - requires a quick drive!
