We had a wonderful weekend in Port A at the Orange Seahorse. The house had everything we needed. It's great for a big family with dogs. We realized the day before checkout that I had lost my car keys and the host was quick to work with me on any additional time needed.

Took our kids, Nana babies and my Dad for Christmas in July. There was plenty of room for us all. The set up of the house was perfect for our family. Leave the doors open when washing and drying clothes, the dryer won’t get the clothes dry unless you do because of the humidity! The backyard was huge, did have fire ants but nothing a trip to Ace Hardware can’t fix! Overall we had the BEST TIME and will definitely stay again

After some initial resistance, Port A Escapes did a really nice job of addressing all of the concerns I had based on reviews posted after I made my reservation. The house was clean, smelled nice, and was comfortable for our 2 families. The location is great, and the views from the widow's walk are beautiful. Both of the golf carts we rented fit in the one available garage space. This property would be perfect if there was an outdoor grill, a broom, a garage door opener or keypad for the garage door, an outdoor shower, and a space to hang wet swims suits & towels. Thank you for addressing our initial concerns - they were all resolved!

Our overall stay was pleasurable. We had plenty of room for our 10 family members and the kitchen was very well equipped. It was very nice to be able to bring our dogs. The third floor balcony had a nice view of the ocean. The golf cart that came with rental was very nice. I was disappointed the grass had not been mowed and the yard was full of weeds. We had a ceiling fan and wifi connection issues when we arrived but a maintenance man came right out and fixed them. However, the oven, laundry washer, and exhaust fan in one of the bathrooms did not work. We called for maintenance and they came out to check on it but could not fix them. Kind of a bummer but we were compensated for our inconvenience. We will use Port A Escapes again.

The house and location were great. Our only complaint dealt with the backyard. There were so many stickers neither the grandchildren or the dogs could use it. I spent the first hour there cleaning dog droppings in the yard. They really need someone to monitor the grounds.

This property has plenty of comfortable beds for a large family. Kitchen is very well equipped. Living room is nice for everyone to hang out with a large TV. Great place for dog owners except the back yard is full of grass burrs (pointy ones). The only update I would make is to plant grass in the back yard and maybe some extra outdoor seating.

Overall we had a great experience. The house was very clean, maintained, and roomy for our group of 11 plus a pet. We had pretty much everything we needed utensil wise. The rental office staff were very helpful, especially when we arrived past 6 pm and couldn't pull up the office location on my probably outdated gps. They waited for me. The only "negatives" we're that the trash can already had trash in it and there is only one. For a house that rents to large groups 2 might be more helpful. Also there was brush in front of the house the entire week. There are no direct neighbors to each side which was nice. But there is a house being constructed on the next lot over so had a little noise but not a lot. There are houses behind but still felt private. Pretty sure our dog could smell the ocean from the back yard the way he was sniffing the air. Did report a problem with ants, in and out of house, when we left, including inside a light switch in kitchen. Master bedroom did not seem as cool as rest of house but we were okay. Love Port A and would def rent the house again if we return with a large group. Beach access road is not far as well.

My family and I had such a wonderful time staying at the Orange Seahorse House in Port Aransas. We stayed for a week during Christmas and had 8 family members with us which included a 4 year old and a 1 month old. This house sleeps 16 so the 8 of us had plenty of room to spread out and have our own space if need be. We did have a couple of dogs with us so the fenced backyard was a huge plus for us. Unfortunately the backyard was overrun with goat heads that the dogs got stuck in their paws and fur and brought in the house making it necessary to always wear shoes in the house. Despite this small inconvenience we would definitely recommend this place for big family vacations. We will definitely be back.

Having our annual family fishing trip in Port A worked great in this home! Bathrooms are spacious and kitchen big enough for preparing meals for our bunch. Roomy bedrooms so we could add a few air mattresses where needed for the kids. Location is great for heading out fishing and the beach is a short skip nearby. Port A Escapes staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to next time!

Great house with a tons of space. Close to beach making it the perfect relaxing get away.
Only thing is I had to get Raid to get rid of Ants and Spiders that greeted us upon our arrival. But by no means do I think that should deter anyone from enjoying this place.

We've stayed at this property for the pass 3 years. We enjoy staying close to the beach and the convenience of stores and gas. Would have liked to have more T.V.'s in rooms, but we made due.

We were a group of 7 staying for the second time at the Orange Seahorse. For the configuration of our group, the house was adequate. I think 16 would be pushing the limitation unless you had many children. The dining table itself seats 6. But there is a nice deck area and a living room seating area as well.

They probably should replace the shag carpeting at some time. It is dated and I would think not perfect for a sandy area. Having said that, they manage to keep it looking clean.

The house is about a three block walk from the beach. I lots of walkers including the elderly and children.

Great location and access to the beach. The home is nicely decorated and beds are comfy. The only issue if any was the room downstairs doesn't receive adequate a/c air to keep room cool. With large groups the traffic in and out the front door makes hard to keep area cool enough. We've stayed at the home twice for 4th of July and it's great and the kids enjoy it too! Property staff were very nice and helpful.

Very happy with our stay! We had 3 families with a total of 16 people, never felt cramped. Proximity to the beach was great, a short walk or drive and your on the sand.

We were a large group ranging in ages from grandparents to grandkids. This property suited our needs perfectly! The bunk beds were very wobbly and the management company sent a repairman over to fix them. We would stay there again.

House was clean with plenty of room for about 8 adults and 6 kids to sleep comfortably. The house exceeded my expectations and was very clean, neat, had plenty of everything needed for a comfortable stay. Had plenty of pots and pans, silverware and everything. Would definitely recommend the Orange Seahorse! Five minute drive from the beach. Ugly back yard though but did not spend any time in it anyway!

Our family of 15 descended on the Orange Seahorse House just after Christmas and found all in perfect order from the beginning. Any issue that arose was quickly addressed and resolved by the employees of Port A Escapes. Thank you for having our house move-in ready from day 1. There were accommodations available for our number, and everything described in the advertisement was exactly as represented. We continue to use Port A Escapes for our Port Aransas vacations. I stayed at the orange seahorse and had my baby shower at the house. it was perfect for a party and comfortably accomidated all of my guests. beds were comfy and clean. every appliance is very modern and being fully furnished with dishes helped with the party as well. the walk to the beach is a little far but is not hard. if you rent a golf cart it is alot easier. Loved management and the whole stay!!

The house was awesome, the backyard was okay the yard needed to be mowed and there were fire ants piles that we had to watch out for but other than that this is a great place and I recomend it to anyone wanting to stay in Port A

We rented the Orange Seahorse for a short two day stay. I usually like to start with the good not the bad, and there was a lot to like about this property. It is relatively new and only a short drive to the beach (about 1/2 mile). There is no sea view because the dunes are between the house and the shore. The house was certainly adequate for our group of 8--but I think 16 would over stretch its capacity. The kitchen is generally well equipped,except some pots had missing lids. This is a small complaint for a house that has a mixer, blender and every conceivable kitchen utensil. There are games, books, a large TV and other stuff appropriate for a beach house. Plus a grill on the back porch.

Unfortunately, the property was not ready when we arrrived (cleaning crew said that there had been a big party there the night before). When we were allowed in, the floors were so wet that they were slippery. There are burrs in the shag carpet. Several trash bags were outside the can, posibly from the big party. However, we were allowed by the rental company to stay an additional hour, waiving the $50 hour fee for extended stay (and they even offered two). because of the inconvenience. I generally found the rental company to be helpful.

If you are interested in fishing or spending a family-time at the beach, this is an appropriate property.

At first I would have preferred a house closer to the beach, then I saw the crazy sorority boys from Corpis Christi parting on the beach and was glad I wasn't closer. I do wish the access both road and to the beach were better. Ice machine on Fridge was broken. Other then that, great house perfect for our needs. We had 8 guys, everyone had a bed. The cost was 75 bucks a person per night which is better then all the hotels nearby. I would rent it again without a doubt.

Eight of us stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday at this house. It is very roomy, with nice large bedrooms, bathrooms and a big kitchen/living area. Beds are very comfortable and we all slept well. Kitchen was easy to prepare Thanksgiving dinner in. Minor issues-we had a small dachsund with us, the yard is full of stickers and had recently been mowed, but no cleanup was done. Stickers/cut grass was all over the driveway/sidewalks and had previously been tracked into house/carpeting by prior occupants! There are only two TV's in the home and they are located at the top and bottom of the stairs, which can make it difficult to watch two different stations, as the sound comes right down the stairs. Some of our group had issues with no ESPN on the DISH Tv package, as it was the last A&M/UT game. Even though there is no direct beach access, we would probably stay here again!
