Texas On The Beach PP726

We are 4th time repeat renters of this property. It's a great property. This year felt different in that there were a couple of safety issues. With a 19 month old and a 4 and half year old grandkids, the back door locks (to the pool) were an issue. The actual door knob lock didn't work, even though there is a safety latch there. The deadbolt lock was extremely hard to lock, but we did appreciate the upper lock that's been installed. The rug under the patio there was ripped and shredding which is a definite fall risk for an older person like myself. I tripped several times. Replace or remove. The other problem is the TV's....Living room TV had available streaming capability, bedroom 1 TV has limited channels and no streaming, bedroom 2 TV would never connect to the internet- so no TV, bedroom 3 TV had ROKU. Why can't they all be the same? But there was soap there this year!! New push button front door locks were awesome. Still a great time!

This house was fabulous! The inside is gorgeous and the backyard has tons of space. The pool was refreshing and had plenty of room for everyone. We will one hundred percent he booking this home again.

It was a great vacation at this home. This is our 3rd time renting this property. It has everything you need. There were two things that was different from the last times and that was the wifi didn’t work in the 2 side bedrooms. I did report it and they fixed it but it went out the next day. Plus the water pressure in all the bathroom sinks was very low. The showers were great though. However, everything else was wonderful.

We truly enjoyed our stay! Great location - easily accessible from the beach - convenience stores and beach shop within walking distance. Boardwalk to the beach is a workout! None of us are out of shape, but we all preferred to drive. The tile floor are beautiful, dried quickly and not slippery, but killed my feet and legs...just had to wear tennis shoes. Back yard and pool area were wonderful! The grill was not the best, but handy to have. Outdoor shower was great! The Queen bed is the bedroom that's outside of the house, but it's entry is inside the courtyard and felt secure. VERY relaxing comfortable place to stay. The beds were great (with the exception of one side of the King)! We ordered our supplies at Walmart in Aransas Pass for pick up, grabbed them, rode the ferry and were stocked! Kitchen IS fully stocked for cooking utensils and oven worked well. Bar stools inside would not be suitable for small children as they wobble, but chairs are good at table. Outdoor furniture is different than pictured but much better with the exception of lounge chairs to tan in. No chiminea is present. If it were cheaper, we'd stay again next time! Everything was in great shape and well taken care of.

As a large pet friendly rental, this property was in immaculate shape. The house was very clean, furniture was very clean. The only negative, was backyard had lots of dog poo, but that is fault of the previous renter w/pet. If you are renting with pet, please clean after them as common courtesy. Rental came w/large pooper scooper to assist! The back yard was huge & sticker/grass burr free. Plenty of space for your fur baby to run & play. Each room was extra large & gorgeous...exactly as pictured. Had a small issue w/the smoke alarms, & they came out w/in the hour @ 11pm. Customer Service was excellent! The kitchen was FULLY stocked, you think you forgot something you may need? They have it! Washer worked great, dryer took some extra cycles to dry. Boardwalk to the beach was at the end of the street, but I don't recommend using it if there are elderly or toddlers....many, many steps & some are unlevel & weak. There is a golf cart rental around the corner, less than a block, & the street a block over, leads to the beach. The pool was clean and fun when you don't feel like swimming at the beach. The outdoor shower worked great too. It could use some lights for some night swimming. Definitely bring some bug spray, as the mosquitos are ravenous around dusk & dawn. There are 2 large stores a block 1/2 away, that will have anything you need to travel to Walmart or HEB. Plenty of parking space. We had a Tahoe, a mid size SUV, a Yukon w/large boat & a golf cart. This place is perfectly located, & gorgeous! I have rented quite a few houses in the area, & this was the best one yet. I would list more great things, but am running out of space. I can't wait to come back & am looking forward to renting this place again!

The rental was more than we could have imagined, was nicer than the pictures portray. The room separate from the house was perfect for a mid day nap away from the action in the house and by the pool. The kitchen has everything we needed to have a wonderful family meal at the large dinning table. The internet worked wonderful even on the days we had storms roll through. The pool was a perfect six for our family of 6, plenty of room for people and their pool floats. Wish the hot tub has worked but it did not effect our time outside. We had a wonderful family vacation we were even able to bring out dogs one of which is a Service dog. We plan on coming back to this house for many more family vacations.

Home and pool were amazing!
Beautiful yard, nice pool, & hot tub. Both good size, Home was very clean. Cupboards has all the supplies you need and more! Plenty of bedding and comfy bed too.
Only Wish they had provided us with a schedule for the yard and pool company as they came multiple times during our stay. Not a fan of having people enter a property while we are there and not known they are showing up, we had our dogs and young grandchild with us.
FYI: Boardwalk is long with lots of stairs uphill and downhill over the dunes. Would be good info if they mentioned this in the description. In case people have issues with stairs.
Home was short on the number of towels initially provided by management company but, we called, and they promptly brought more.
Will definitely come back and rent next year!

House was our favorite rental. It was very accommodating for all of our family. It is a one story home so it was easy for my older parents and no going up and down stairs to load/unload. Property had a fenced in backyard for the dogs. The private pool was super nice and very enjoyable. This house was one of the cleanest ones we have rented. We were a little thrown off because one room does not have a door to the main house so it is like a private room. It is just a short walk to the main house through the connecting courtyard. We will definitely rent this property again.

Only two things kept me from giving a perfect score. The dryer takes 2-3 cycles to dry towels. It would also be nice to have access to the gate by the pool. At this time it is locked and you have to go thru the house to get to the outside shower to completely rinse off. Defeats the purpose of trying to keep sand out of the house.

OMG, we loved this place. We went for my daughters birthday/summer getaway and it was amazing. The place is so nice and so clean. The pool was awesome in the afternoons to cool off after a hot morning at the beach. It is such a beautiful home as well. And definitely rent the golf cart it’s worth the money. The house is absolutely amazing and the layout of the house is awesome! Master bedroom in the house is just so beautiful and the mother in law master is also amazing! The entire backyard is so breathtaking that you don’t want to leave to go to the beach. Stores are close by and convenient.

This is a beautiful home! From the home itself to furnishings to and outside. The home is well appointed in every respect. Nothing is needed in any room. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need and more. The pool and outdoor furnishings are excellent. We enjoyed every minute in this home and it’s location. Absolutely an upscale vacation rental. My family and I were very impressed with this rental. The home is beautiful. It has everything you need it was very clean and comfortable. Beach access on the boardwalk wasn't too bad of a walk. The home is around the corner from the beach if driving. The pool and jacuzzi were a plus. The temperature settings for both were the same and can't be altered. The AC worked very well in the home, it was always cool. There is only 1 charcoal BBQ pit not 2 pits. It would have been nice to access the backyard gate with a key to wash off in the outside shower, but used the water hose in the front of the house. One of the rooms is attached to the main home, but can only be accessed from outside of the main home. It has it's own keyed entry and it's own full bathroom. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom was loud when on, but not a deal breaker. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this property again. This has been the best beach house we have rented in Port A. Even some of the other renters in the area were complimenting the house when walking around the neighborhood. They are thinking of renting the home too in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay!

My wife and i loved it. we are diffidently staying at this place again everything was close to the house. The pool was a little warm but wasn't sure if it was cause of the heat outside or if the water was being heated by the pool system. The house was very cleaned when we showed up. I would recommend this place to friends.

The grass burrs in the yard were terrible...and we had some confusion regarding entry to the house (which I thought it was earlier than it actually was). Then, although our last rental from this agency involved a keypad at the door, this rental required that we check into the office, personally, and get the key.
However, once we learned to avoid the grass-burr-y lawn - and once we got our keys - we had a really nice weekend.

We are winter Texans and just completed a 10 week stay at Texas on the Beach. Love that the house is on one level and in a quiet neighborhood. Since we walk the beach each day, the boardwalk to the beach is very handy. The house is spacious with a comfortable king bed in the master suite and relaxing furnishings in the living room. Kitchen is well supplied with a variety of dishes and cookware. Had an opportunity to talk to the owner who is a very personable individual who takes pride in maintaining the house. Always a pleasure to work with the property management firm - Port A Escapes. Easy to communicate with them via phone or email. The house was well stocked with a good starting base of toiletries and the linens are in excellent shape. Looking forward to coming back.

This is our second stay at this property. It is a great place to bring your pets but also a nice setup for adults with all bedrooms apart from each other. Easy access to beach and close enough for all the Port A attractions.

Excellent location and well maintained. The layout provides for a large group but everyone can have their privacy at night. Fenced yard for pets is an added plus. Added benefit of being all on one level.

One of few 1 story homes for those with problems climbing stairs. Fenced in back yard. Short walk to beach over boardwalk. Spoke with owner who was very personable. Rental agency always quick to address any concerns. No use saying how nice this property is for Winter Texans because it is reserved years ahead of time! We just got lucky. Casita for company. About 1.5 miles to town. Easy bike ride on beach or sidewalk. Low-key area to relax & be casual. Lots of restaurants. If you like to fish, this is the place.

The house is pretty. Good location. The walk to the beach is kinda long. But the drive to the beach was short. The dryer didn't work well. Overall it was a good stay and we enjoyed it.

We rented this beautiful home for a 2nd time and enjoyed it. It is pet friendly (tile floors, and fenced back yard) and we enjoy traveling with our furkids and this place is perfect for them. Super close to the beach and so comfortable. The house was clean and the management company was wonderful.

Great house for your stay in Port A. Large open living/dining/kitchen. Hugh master with an equally large master bath with walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub.

Second bedroom is also large with sleeping for 4 plus room for a blow-up bed. Amazing. Third bedroom has it's own separate entrance, king bed, large bathroom and walk-in closet. Includes a microwave and small refrigerator.

Fenced backyard is "sticker free" which is rare. Also includes a cute front courtyard you can close off for privacy. No garage access which is a bummer, but plenty of parking is available on driveway and street. A rented golf cart was perfect for this place, but the boardwalk to the beach is convenient for the walkers and runners that visit.

Port A Escapes is awesome to work with. Very friendly and accommodating. #1 Rental Company for sure!

We had a family get together of 21 people and rented 2 homes. My dad and mom are 80 so they needed room to get around. This house was perfect!!! My only complaint was TVs outdated and only one remote worked in the whole house. Otherwise amazing time. Would definitely rent this house again.

The remotes in the master did not work with the TV so that was disappointing. The AC wasn't working when we arrived but was serviced quickly. Small but efficient. Great location. Not stocked with any pantry items, i.e. sugar, flour, etc.. Wireless was good if you are in the living room and unsteady in the bedroom. Overall a good place that was available at the last minute.

Reservation process was fast and easy;office staff very professional and responsive to all my needs and questions. Key pick-up was simple; The house was in excellent condition and looked exactly like virtual tour:) My entire family consisiting of 3 households were extremly happy with the property choice I made and are planning to return!! Additionally I left my wedding bands behind in one of the rooma and Mat was kind enough to go on the search for me; kept me informed found them and sent them by Fed-Ex!! We recently stayed at Texas on the Beach and LOVED it! It is very dog friendly, and that is the biggest plus for us. We brought our girls and didn’t have to worry any. The beach was close (via a boardwalk) and we enjoyed taking our girls to the beach. The backyard has a tall fence so letting them out was stress free. We enjoyed the courtyard and everything in the house was amazing. We can’t wait to return for another relaxing trip. The house is gorgeous and the neighbor hood was quiet.

The property was clean and ready upon arrival. Most of the furniture was either broken down or busted. All of the kitchen chairs were broken, the wooden slats under the bed in the master bedroom kept falling down. It was nice to have a big fenced in yard, but the mosquitoes and fire ants were so bad you couldn't go outside to enjoy it. The house is close to the beach with beach access but no one mentioned the 100 plus steps that you have to go up and down to get to the beach. You will find that it is easier to drive to the beach instead especially if you are taking a cooler, towels, etc. We enjoyed our stay at the beach but felt that the house/furniture needs some major updating to make it worth the money we spent. We will come back to Port A next somewhere, but we will be looking for somewhere else to stay.

When we arrived the AC wasnt working. Called and got answering service, which this girl was very rude. I talked to her 3 times and she only got worse. 3 hours later, worlkers came, only to tell us nothing was wrong. 2 days later we got up, with it 80 degrees in the house, sent repair people, and finally got it working. Several chairs in kitchen were broke. Says there is a walkover to beach but not close. I did love the inclosed patio on the front of the house. Was great place to dump all things sandy! Other then the AC not working and the chairs, we really did enjoy the house.
