Located right in the heart of Port A and just a short drive to the beach this home has everything you will need for the perfect vacation. This stilt home has some of the best island breezes in all of Port A. With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths there is plenty of room for the whole family. This owner cut no corners in decorating this island home. The open floor plan has a spacious living room area and plenty of dining room for everyone. There's Money in the Banana Stand is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom that offers 2 king main suites that include private baths. One bunk room with 2 bunks that sleeps 4. And the family bedroom offers one full over queen bunk bed, sleeps 3+ comfortably. Propane BBQ Pit. Come and relax at There's Money in the Banana Stand!! Rent with Cherry on Top located right next door for larger groups. Cherry on Top also has a private pool. STR#529415

- Contracting guests must be at least 25 years old. A signed rental agreement with the host and a copy of the contracting guest's drivers license is required.
- This is a PET-FRIENDLY RENTAL. Pet fees are an additional $20.00+tax, per pet, per night. A maximum of 3 pets is allowed. Additionally, a pet-cleaning fee is also charged, which is $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days, and $100 for stays of 30 or more days.

Beach Tradition
The house was perfect for our needs! Close to the pool and pond. Well equipped for cooking. The only kitchen issue was the knocked every time it tried to make ice, but never actually made any. That as only a minor issue though. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed it!! We would definitely recommend this house to anyone considering it.

Winter Escape
We had a good time at the Banana stand. Plenty of room for up to 10 people. Nice neighborhood with plenty of area to walk the dog. Had a couple of small issues that were taken care of quickly.

Had a great time!
The vacation itself was great! Wished it was a more direct access to the beach but it still wasn't far away, less than 3/4 mile. A good walk but not with items LOL. Had to get a cart, for sure. The # on fridge for cart rentals at tropical fruit - Jen Pugh - was absolutely rude though. I called, told her there was a magnet on fridge. I'm not even sure I said that it was for cart rentals. She must've been having a really bad morning because she was very sharp with me and told me that there wasn't anything available. I had not even given her a date. How did she know when I even wanted it? I just didn't even ask any questions, I just hung up.
There were a couple of dishes that were dirty but the last guests could've put'em up dirty, not necessarily the person who cleaned. There was a spice rack but many spices were completely empty. There wasn't even any salt and pepper or sugar (what I'd consider staples) in the cabinet. Maybe it was stated in the contract but if it was, I overlooked that part. No big deal though, enough places close by to get some. Very well stocked with trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper. TVs in bedrooms a plus. See, I'm not all negative! The information is just FYI. However, the sink did leak.
We were right beside the pool...awesome for the 2 kids that were along! I mean, that couldn't have been more perfect!

This place was perfect for us. I love the layout. However, the refrigerator smelled bad, and the ice and water were bad. It needs a filter. So, we couldn't get ice or water from the refrigerator.

Surprised bday party gateaway
Browsing rental port A gateaway on Google for 8 people, house was clean, enjoyable, 15 minutes walk to the beach but we prefer drive and having beach pass. Close to community pool, plenty chairs down porch and beautiful pond view. Please bring bug spray for mosquitoes outside sitting. The property management communicative, professional. Everyone enjoys the stay and we will come back rent the place again for future trip

Great home good location. No direct access to the beach so a cart rental or beach pass will be needed. There was a nice back porch with small gas grill. Enjoyed the stay and I’m sure we will return.

Our stay at this beach house was great! It was clean and a fun little community. We were about a mile away from the beach. Good size for our party of 8! We drove it each time. You can get a golf cart, which is what a lot of people use while down there, but our bank account preferred is to drive and pay for a $12 parking permit. Lol All in all, I would recommend this place!

Great Holiday Port A escape
Lovely home with just about everything you could need. Great location. Great service from the management company and appreciated that during or month-long rental, the owner happened to replace or restock the gas grill, glassware and dinnerware.

Great Vacation Rental
The house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed both balconies and the down stairs patio nightly. Ample parking for 3 cars. Beds were cozy. Plenty of linens. My only complaint was kitchenware. Pots, pans and utensils need a bit of an upgrade.

We fell in love with Port A
Staying in Ocean Village at “There’s Money in the Banana Stand” during the quiet month of Dec was incredible. We often had long stretches of beach all to ourselves. The pond in the community is a fabulous feature. The house was well maintained and had great features like hanging hammock chairs we all used often and a great outdoor space. Some of the inside features were more fitted for weekly rental than monthly as the dining area is a little squishy (narrow) and the internet had trouble supporting 11 people, however, overall it was an excellent experience and we can’t wait to return. Port A is a wonderful little resort town. They maintain the beaches beautifully.

Beautiful home, great location
Home is spacious and well designed for a large group. Everyone had their own space and the living room/kitchen was comfortable. Only a couple of minor complaints: 1-poor internet & cable reception virtually unable to use the tv at all or work online 2- Kitchen tools could be updated, were missing serving/mixing bowls and any kind of storage containers but made due. 3-spacing between breakfast stool area and couch-it’s the main walkway when cooking is happening and it’s very cramped 4-photos show beach access via a board walk that is actually at a neighboring property and inaccessible. Over all perfect for our group! Would book and stay again.

Wonderful Stay!
Loved this house and location. We rented a golf cart and were close to downtown and only a mile or so from the beach. The setup was great, and right by the pool. Great outdoor space and cute unit!

Good Time in PA
We have been staying in this house for the last 3 winters. It's starting to show some wear and tear. The livingroom furniture is not comfortable for a long stay and there is not enough seating when you have guests. I have mentioned this before. It needs a new bbq grill. However, the beds are comfortable and there are lots of dishes, pans etc. We liked the patio area and decks. We decided we needed a change and have booked elsewhere for next year.

Our stay was fantastic! Great location and great house! Only complaints were that the WiFi wasn’t the greatest and the dining room is a bit tight.

Family Friendly
We enjoy Port Aransas and have stayed in several great places, but our kids and grandkids liked this one best so far. It’s not too far from the beach, and it has a pool real close. It was clean, and the kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils, pans, etc.

Thank goodness the house was nice because the weather sucked.
The house was clean. 10 adults had plenty of beds and bathrooms. There was even a bath downstairs in carport. Great view of pond. Will stay again.

Amazing Property
This is the perfect place to stay in Port Aransas. The property is equipped with everything you need and looks exactly like the pictures. It is in a prime location. Very close to awesome restaurants, bars, and the beach. We were lucky enough to experience Sandfest, which is one of the biggest beach festivals in Port Aransas. There were multiple vendors, live music, entertainers, and sand sculpting lessons. I'm already thinking about the next time I can rent this beauty for a long weekend. I would 100% recommend to stay here!

Nice Home
We had a group of 12 stay in to homes in this complex. Both homes were perfect. The quality of the construction is very good. The location was close to the pool which was really nice. The living/kitchen area had plenty of space, so everyone was not on top of each other.

We had the time of our lives!! Thank you port A escapes for helping us make memories and new traditons!! The house was beautiful. Pond side and pool side!! We enjoyed every breakfast and dinner we cooked in the home. Definitely a home away from home. I even left some popsicle molds for others to enjoy as much as we did on our family vacation. Sarah from the main office was also very helpful the whole way thru our booking and so forth. Already planning the banana split for Summer2020!!

Good Time in PA
Our second time staying in this home. Everything is great except for the living room furniture being so uncomfortable and a huge beanbag chair that is only suitable for small children. It has everything we need and we like the location. Port A Escapes has great employees. Always prompt to look after any issues. We will always book with them.

Had a great time!
This town home was just the right size for the number of people we had. Plenty of parking space for our vehicles also. It was near the pool which was great!

Banana Stand is Awesome!
Great location. Gorgeous house that was very clean and perfect for our group. Pool was close to house which was convenient. Management was wonderful. I would highly recommend this house.

Great time to be had in the Banana Stand
The property is located RIGHT next door to the community pool, making pool time visits very easy. The outdoor shower and downstairs bathroom are very convenient. The house was a decent size and had everything we needed (please change the water filter in the refrigerator). We had 12 staying, and this did the job! Easy 5 minute drive to the beach. We will be returning next year!

Our Winter Home
We spent our winter at the Banana Stand and loved it. The home was clean, bright and everything seemed brand new. We liked the decks and patio, kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. Lots of towels and nice linens on the beds. Mattresses were comfortable. There is a huge bean bag chair that was not the best for older people. The pool is not heated in the winter but has a nice area to sit and enjoy. It was relaxing to watch the birds, turtles etc around the pond. The beach is an 15 min walk and there is a Stripes within walking distance if you need snacks etc. We had a couple of minor issues that Port A Escapes dealt with promptly. This is our 3rd time renting through Port A Escapes and they always provide excellent service. We hesitated to visit this year because of the hurricane damage etc. However, we are glad we were able to support the local businesses and people as they get back on their feet. We had a wonderful winter getting together with old friends and making new ones. We will be back next year!

Great Vacation!!
Everything was great from beginning to end. The house was great and everything that it said that it was. Plenty of parking and literally right next to the pool. The house was in immaculate condition and perfect for our needs. There was a gas grill and a fire pit. It was also located just about a 2 minutes from the beach. There was only one hiccup what we had when we arrived was that there was large truck that was parked at the house that belonged to another vacationer that was staying across the street, they had too many cars and were parking in other houses spaces the entire time we were there. I called the leasing office and was told that they would send maintenance to come and see if they could find the owner promptly. The truck owner moved their vehicle about an hour or so into our stay. AFter that everything was smooth sailing and never had another issue. We will definitely return as our group has a spectacular time. I definitly reccomend that you try out Giggitys for lucn or dinner, it looks a little iffy but their food was amazing. We also tried liberty hall on our last night, they were interesting to deal with as we showed up 30 minutes before they closed and originally did not want to seat us, however after our group left they came out and told us they would be happy to serve us, the food was really good but a little pricey.
